I was playing vers. 6.5 and everything was smooth and cool, 096 is terrifying, MTF really mess you up, but I have a problem with 173. He spawns way too frequently. Its not a matter of "Oh s*** is he in the vents following me?!" its more like "oh god another 173 spawn room..." This occurred to me when I was being chased by 173 and I stumbled into one of the gas chamber airlock rooms and he went from right behind the door straight to the airlock camera screen, so I backtracked and he appeared in the maze he originally appeared in. So I was stuck between the maze bound 173 and the airlock 173. Am i a noob for wondering if he will ever actually traverse the air vents, or is that just the "explanation" for his sudden appearances? Or am i seriously a noob and he is that damn fast and clever???

SCP 173 has never been one to follow the rules.

His spawn chances are a bit high, and after some time it just gets old.
Would like to see it changed too.

I know the game was originally based around 173 but its usually 173 that gets tiring and makes me stop playing til the next update... I havent even really gotten to mess with 096 because 173 pops up everywhere. Maybe I have bad luck with map seeds but 173 feels cluttered

Once you get past a few rooms in the beginning he usually spawns less frequent. I've had times where I didn't encounter him for like 10 minutes.

I think I read somewhere that the mtfs will attempt to recontain 173 at some point, so that should help with his spawning, which I agree is probably more then it needs to be

He need to spawn far less. The being stalked at atmosphere is fading.

It's most annoying when I'm currently evading 173 with my back to the next room, and I walk into a server room, for him to be inside. 173 teleporting around isn't very cool with me.

Does anyone know if he will ever roam the facility instead of spawn? Ive been lurking the forums since vers. 3.2 and have never heard anything to say that he wont just randomly spawn on top of you. Anyone involved with 173 development know or is that just up to time and regalis?

I think him really moving through out the site would be much better, Though it would be hard to pull off. Maybe we should bring it up to Regalis and see what he says.

Yeah, 173 is the primary reason why I play the game on godmode. Because he's so goddam annoying. So if he isn't going to play by the rules then neither am I.
