To Regalis,
While you continue development of the desktop version of SCP:- CB, we would like to take your source code for the latest current version and work with it in the Unity 3D engine to make a working iPhone/iPad port. We HAVE already started the project, but would just like another heads up and maybe a little bit of insider information regarding the engine you have used in development (BlitzMax, right?).
Thanks,
The Vostok Team

#2I think it would be better to send him a message, y'know...
Re: Co-development for the iOS Platform...
#4As interesting as this sounds, a horror game for a mobile platform sounds kinda silly (at least for me) Although you could take advantage of the Unity engine for Mac and Linux.
Re: Co-development for the iOS Platform...
#5I really don't see how a game like this could work on an iPhone or iPad.
Aspiring voice actor. You can check out my portfolio at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/users/36603 ... bout&pUp=1
Re: Co-development for the iOS Platform...
#6Me neither. Seems like it would be very difficult to play.
Re: Co-development for the iOS Platform...
#7Who said an onscreen Joystick couldn't do the trick? We have TOUCHSCREENS. And besides, we're not going to just put SCP:- Containment Breach as a survival app with only "you" in it. We will add more SCPs, survivors, and multiplayer options (if possible). Anyway, that isn't my main idea.
I say we make one uniform game, where all the developers on this forum will team up with Regalis to make the ultimate SCP game. And that will be exactly the same for all platforms.
And how could a horror survival game for iPhone sound silly? It would be a great app!

Imagine if the final version of the game ended up being so scary and horror filled, that when you get a good jumpscare you would accidently throw your phone or drop your ipad, just like a simple normal defensive reaction from a surprise reflex.
May all the phones be thrown and all the ipads dropped.
What fun is there in making sense?
Now, if you will excuse me i have some chaos to wreak.
Resident forum robot monkey, and chaos incarnate.

I am error.
Re: Co-development for the iOS Platform...
#10It can't be possible that bad. And besides, this game WILL work on the iPhone and iPad. You might think that the overly small screen size will be a hinderance. But there is always a way to get around that.
