So I am making a game right now,you can check it out here
I was making the game and was finding some horror ambiance on the internet but non of them fitted the atmosphere.
I saw the SCP:CB(and 087-B)'s SFX file and the ambiance and the sound effects fits the atmosphere.
So can I use SCP:CB sound files for the game?
I will credit every sound creator from the game
Re: Using music from SCP:CB Or SCP-087-B
#2Well, the background ambience of CB (The Dread) is under Creative Commons License, which means that you are free to use it in non-commercial projects if you credit the creator (the theme was not made by Regalis himself). Don't know about the 087-B ambience though. If you want to use sound effects created by Regalis or other forum users you should PM them.
BTW, FireFox made a lot of ambience tracks, maybe he allows you to use some of them.

Do you think NASA invented thunderstorms to cover up the sound of space battles?
Re: Using music from SCP:CB Or SCP-087-B
#3Um, the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 let's you adapt work for commercial purposes (unless you're using the Non-Commercial version, but so far the only site I've ever seen use this license is TV Tropes). The only downside to this is that the work still needs to be licensed under the same license, so basically anyone will be able to pirate your work legally.Akatos wrote:which means that you are free to use it in non-commercial projects .

#4All music tracks except for The Dread were made by Kevin McLeod, which are free of any license and are free to use.

#5Uh, Kevin MacLeod also made The Dread...Irontaco wrote:All music tracks except for The Dread were made by Kevin McLeod,
And not all of them are by him, i.e. SCP-049 Tension, Groaning Ambience, etc., etc.
Re: Using music from SCP:CB Or SCP-087-B
#7Music.ogg and Horror1/2/3 from SCP-087-B are also made by Kevin Macleod (and royalty free).

#8"Gathering Darkness", I think it was called.Cridone wrote:Music.ogg and Horror1/2/3 from SCP-087-B are also made by Kevin Macleod (and royalty free).
I had a flip through Kevin MacLeod's site, and I came across two tracks that were used in SCP:CB (by chance - I found them by accident):
"Steel And Seething" (106's theme; the second half of "Bump In The Night")
"Right Behind You" (173's "theme")
I thought this would help if you wanted some ambient music and/or the full tracks
