Game Improvements (MTF, Guards, SCP's, Rooms)

Let's get to the point, shall we?

M.T.F's AND FOUNDATION GUARDS

1. Mobile Task Force Should have multiple weapons. Isn't it annoying how the M.T.F ALWAYS have a FN P90? Well, I think they should have Pistols they can use if there P90 Ammo runs out. Or, When they run out of ammo, they can beat you to death. Here is a diagram:

Detect's Player --> Pulls out P90 --> Can Reload if shoots and misses to much --> If P90 is out of ammo, pull out pistol. --> If out of ammo, walks up to the player and Punches/Kicks/SomeJudoMoves him dead.

2. M.T.F and Guards should have shifts. Let me explain. So, let's say I was at the 4 way intersection room. Well, you could hear a M.T.F saying when you get too close, when they spawn, this: "Sir, I hear movement through the halls in <AREA NAME HERE>. I'll Patrol for a Minute." Then, when he does, he can walk around the area for a while through rooms, trying to find you.

3. In the 4 way Intersection, WITH the walkway above, M.T.F, or Guards, could walk on the walkway and if they see you, they can Run through the other door, and find a way down to you, or just blast your head off. Since SCP-049 does that, or at least I think, I thought it would be cool to see a Staff member do it.

4. M.T.F Should interact with SCP's more. I mean, M.T.F's never walk to 106's room and contain him when I am playing. So, that should be a Main priority. Plus, they can talk to their leader through a intercom, so, they could possible have a map in their goggles, like, digital glasses, leading to it. They should also interact with SCP-173 more. Also, I found some sound files, that have the M.T.F saying, "SHIT, IT'S THE OLD MAN, RUN!", but that never seems to happen to me. When 106's nearby, they don't say that, and they don't run away. Maybe that should be a feature. Also, when the M.T.F's or Wandering Guards, if that is ever implemented, look at 096's face if he can wander the facility, he can get enraged at them, and kill them.

SCP's

1. SCP-096. Let's talk about him for a while. 096 should have a Containment Chamber, with him sitting in there, like the original lockroom, but something a bit different. In the article, it states that 096 DOES have a containment chamber, but with no cameras. Instead, it has motion sensors that tell the foundation where he is. In the chamber, if you go in, you can see him pounding, or pacing the Eastern , or western, forgot which one, walls. Here are some Sketches:

2. Near 096's containment chamber, should be a room full of SCRAMBLE goggles. When you put them on, they block 096's face, but they don't quite work, and he kills you anyways. A unique Death message should be put. SCRAMBLE Incident

3. Next to 096's containment chamber should be the control office for it. IN there, are monitors with the X, Y, and Z frames from the Motion Sensors, and a Control Panel, with a Document on 096 and his Incidents. On the control panel is a lever. One is to fully open the doors, (since the Key Pad doesn't work, or 079's keeps shutting the doors), then 096 can get out. But, if you do that, then you can't close them again. There should also be a "Freeze the Room" lever. In the Incidents, 096's room was once frozen to a SUPER low temp to see if it survived. This is where the vents take place. If you jump in the room when you unlock the door, and turn freeze on, the doors should shut, and you freeze to death in there. Then, a Unique death message in there too. Article. No Sketches for this one. Imagine as you wish.

4. SCP-106. He should have a hard time in his containment chamber. If you fail to capture him, it should take a minute for him to get out, since he has to materialize and de-materialize from the layers his cell has. Plus, when you do capture him, some Calming music should come on, even when the M.T.F capture him. Or, when you capture him D-9341 says, "Got that slimy bastard", or, "Got that Corrosive Bitch", or, "Got Him! Haha."

5. Maybe SCP-999. You can see him follow a D-Class into a room you can't get in, then you hear hysterical laughing for a while, then you hear it fade, showing the D-Class Dieing.

ROOMS

1. There should be a few new rooms. Like, the Medical Bay from Box of Horrors, only without the Zombie in it. There should be a wall lined with Med Packs, then in a Heavily Contained room, SCP-509 with at least 37 of SCP-500-01.

2. There should be Evacuation Rooms. At least 2 should spawn in maps, and when they do, they can not be opened. They have a Key Pad, and can't be opened.

3. Maybe 939's containment chamber? I don't know.... Running out of room Ideas...

D-CLASS

1. There should be wandering D-Class around the Facility. You can also see them get killed by guards, or M.T.F or SCP's in special events.

1. Multiple weapons? Sorry but no. MTFs shouldn't miss a bullet. I do not think it's very plausible that very highly trained soldiers (which are almost no humans) scattered bullets like that. Even in the current state of the game they can kill you with just one bullet (headshot).

2. Not necessary at all, they are already moving to critical spots of the facility. their main mission is to recontain the loose SCPs.

3. As I mentioned above, if they are moving to critical spots of the facility, why would they be walking there?

4. Agreed the most, but SCP-096 should not kill MTFs. They surely have some kind of googles which block SCP-096's face.

SCP's

1. Yes, the article states that SCP-096 has a containment chamber, but it never states that it has a door. And if you think about it, SCP-096's chamber having a door is pretty stupid.

2. Unnecessary at all.

3. Agreed with the control office, but as I mentioned above, SCP-096's chamber should not have a door. Although the death scene you mentioned is plausible due to SCP-079.

4. Agreed. Although "Got him!" is enough.

5. ...

ROOMS

1. Don't know what to think about it. I suggested somewhere that instead of having a "medical room" there should be first aid kits around the entire facility. Because, what kind of accidents would be in the facility? The subjects wounded by SCPs are taken to a lab or something like that for investigation. Same with scientists. Instead, first aid kits serve more for wounds made ​​by shock by objects (immobile objects or fallen from the ceiling).

2. Keypads for evacuation rooms don't make much sense.

1. Truthfully, I think they should. Doesn't matter if they, "Shouldn't miss a bullet". Yes, I know they are highly trained operatives, doesn't mean there shouldn't be some LOGIC. I mean, There is Balistic Vests in the game, so what if they shoot you in the vest multiple times? And we all know the hit detection isn't the best, so maybe a pistol would be a backup, or even a KNIFE for the MTF.

2. Ok, So? I mean, if I heard something that could be hazardous, I would take a search around to find it, then try to recontain it! I mean, what if it was 049? Or 173?

3. Aesthetics. Aesthetics. AESTHETICS. But in all truthfulness, I heard 049 walks through that area. Plus, wouldn't it be cool to see a guard walking up there, getting chased by 049? Then you see 049 touch him, then drag him away into the other room.

4. If you read 096's article, the only goggles known to block out 096's face is the SRAMBLE gear, but THOSE don't even work.

1.True. 096's Containment chamber is a 5x by 5x by 5x. But in the sketches, that is why I made it so small. But yes, it did say that he can dent the metal, and break out that way.... SO no Argument there.

Rooms

1. I mean, sure. Replace the Medi-bay with Research rooms, and you can see a Incinerator. But, there could also be some Medi-Bays, for those people who actualy got Damaged (Cuts and Such), dealing with SCP's? Scientists, I mean. Also, even if they had research on them, where are they gonna get healed? (And don't say research office. I think of a research office with stuff to cut people open, and see the shit that has happened to them.)

2. It would if you didn't want a rouge D-Class evacuating into a helicopter saying, "Hey Guys, I am a Scientist in Disguise!"

3. Something for more exploration. Maybe a Key card in there. Level 2-3.

1. Actually, it does matter that thing about "Shouldn't miss a bullet". You say that they can shoot you in the Ballistic Vest multiple times. My question is: Why? They are aiming to the head. And even if they don't shoot you in the head it shouldn't cost more than three bullets kill you. I've experienced it myself and that's really the maximum amount they need. Another thing, what use is a gun or a knife against SCPs like 173 or 106?

2. In the case in which they hear something dangerous, they cannot be separated. SCP-096 or SCP-173 you say? What can a man alone do against those monsters? They're going to the containment chambers and if the SCPs are not there then they're going to search and find them. Also, if you have not paid attention to the game, there's always sounds coming from everywhere, so what you say does not apply in any case.

3. The first and second thing. And if it has no sense then the idea is unconvincing. Throughout my time in this forum I have seen so many ideas that only include "A SCP killing". Nothing more than that. It has no creativity.

First aid kits like that placed around all the facility instead of a medical bay because, you know, almost all hostile SCPs kill you instantly. So, there's no sense on having a medical bay for serious injury. Oh, and I didn't mean research office. I meant research lab.

MTF:

1. Who in their right fucking mind would use a knife agienst them? XD I meant to use those agienst the player XD And, still, the Hit detection isn't the best, I have expiranced that, so, if they miss a ton, other weapons could help. Also, I know a word wouldn't win me a argument. I mean, looks, or something that you can't even reach can be nice to see, and I thought the SCP-999 idea was good, since it is creepy in your own right, hearing a person laugh to death.....

From what I learned from CB's code, everything happens once for a specific reason. Saying my event's would loop over a million times in a map is saying the scientist that is falling from the ceiling in the T-shaped room, happens every time you enter a goddamn room like that. Notice how the Scientist that is corroded from 106 only appears once. That is because of the "State" system. "States" detect, if I am correct, what room the event is in, has it been used, and has the player activated it. (ex, State 1 --> The event itself running | State 2 --> If the player has activated it | State 3 --> If it is in one room.)

Just a guess, I am very knew to mapping.



(Ps, Moderators, I don't know if that is a necro post or what, but please tell me what it is, I are confuzzled from other comments. [If that made sense XD])

It's not a necro post you are fine.
Also, you are right with the states thing. Once an event has been triggered, the event becomes closed and won't happen again unless the player dies and resets the trigger.
