The fact you are waddling around is enough indication that you are injured.

So wait, wait. A sprint and a blinking bar is allowed, but not a health bar? Just fit it on the bottem with the rest. Only has to be small.

Sprint and Blink bars have a major use, health bar does not.
And as Monocle says sprint and blink bars can easily be replaced with visual effects.

Too expand on my health bar has no use point, let's have a look at our competitors.
173 - kills you instantly
106 - takes you to different dimension then kills you instantly
096 - kills you instantly
049 - kills you instantly via cutscene
Most cognito hazards - kill you instantly

Putting a health bar in this game would be equivalent to putting a health bar in Mario, or any other game where you die in one hit. And the MTF and zombies, MTF fire too quickly to survive from, they go full auto on you upon seeing you and chances of surviving are slim, even if you do survive you will have likely been shot in the leg, causing you to waddle around the facility as you leave a trail of blood behind you.
049-2 zombies, I've personally never fought against them as they are quite easy to avoid, so I'm not entirely sure what their attack mechanics are like, but really it should be instant death.

You get messages in the bottom of the screen, and I think a sound plays when you're hit, the sound of a bullet embedding itself in your arm.

I accidentally ran into one with a jade ring... I just ended up waddling at an all time low speed of 0.001 m/pg with these to guys slapping me in the back. It took me around five minutes to die from blood loss despite being hit multiple times.

I have a simple solution.

The more injuries you have, the more red the screen is.

The more blood you lose, the more blurry the screen gets.

Why hasn't anybody mentioned this before, good job Ketercheat. This is basic health display, almost exactly like a normal big named video game. Though the screen should also lose colour, producing a black and white effect.

I never liked this system of health. It's inaccurate and overall obscures your view of the game. I'm on the bandwagon for this one, we don't need a health bar because, IMO, it doesn't fit the game well.

Doesn't that just make it harder for the player to actually play, just when a real person is bleeding, obscured vision would be true due to the agony of your wounds. Besides, obscure view makes for a slightly more terrifying game play, harder to see enemies like 173.
