You run into a room with a little rubble to hide behind, three MTF's, and 173. If you are quick and don't look, the MTf's look at you and everybody dies.

But if you hide behind the little pile, the dialog with go like this:

MTF 1:173 encountered, preparing to immobilize. (The MTF has a long rifle, and he lines it up with 173.)
MTF 2:You are cleared to take the shot.
MTF 1:Can't...miss...
*He shoots, and 173 kills them, insinuating they blinked from the sound*

Eh?
Surely, They would know that Bullets wouldn't harm SCP-173?

The Guard in the Introduction certainly must have a neckache for trying.

He probably was panicking or suprised, because he gets pushed back by his gun as if he's startled and hip-firing.
Good Point.

Another Suggestion.

SCP-106

The Player enters an Elevator which will take a slightly longer time to arrive at it's destination compared to the other Elevators.

As soon as the Player enters and closes the Doors, The Elevator will begin to descend. A few seconds later, The all too familiar sound of SCP-106 spawning will play as SCP-106 begins to rise out from the Ground beneath the Player as the Elevator remains locked.

As soon as the Doors open, The Player has at least one second to get out before SCP-106 begins chase.

SCP-682

The Player walks into a Corridor with a Blast Door at the end. There is a Guard standing there, Raising his Gun at the Player and yelling " Freeze! ". The Blast Door rips open and SCP-682's Jaw appear, Snapping shut on the Guard and dragging him into the Darkness behind and leaving a trail of Blood.

Alternate -

The Player walks towards the Blast Door and SCP-682's Jaws appear as above but misses the Player by inches.

I think there should be more scripted events at the very beginning of the game, to actually give off the impression you're in a site full of people dying and running away. It feels very empty as soon as you leave 173's chamber, perhaps have a scientist running in the distance, when you catch up to him, you find either an locked door, or a corpse.

Also, maybe some spastic (though subtle) lights flickering, as well as more simulated damage (like 513's room)?
It slep time bunner.

settle most rooms into 2 designations:

Clean: No damage/Decal damage

Damaged: Rubble strewn about, perhaps the fan in room2_2 could be dislodged and sparking.

---------------------
SCP-079: Will close doors in a lockroom so you appear trapped, only for them to break/re-open

General NPCs: add bump mapping, possibly simple mouth movement later in development
General NPCs Dying/Escaping: What omniary said, but there could be a rare event in the "Safe" Zone where 106 comes and you can only hear their screams behind the locked doors. They unlock/079 opens them, and you see the blood trail into the corrosion(Dr. L's office? would be a nice touch considering he's most likely the decomposed scientist)

D-Class: wtf.ogg should be more audible(make the intercom screeching quieter?) it's inaudible.

SCP-106: in the pocket dimension, he should be more crazy. I've already found out he sort of circles you in the 8-way hallway(through the walls), but imagine him going through the ceiling and floor, perhaps make the PD less dark and more psychedelic but in a creepy, subtle way?

895: If possible, more varied hallucinations where the coffin appears covered in blood as more tame scares, once the "sanity" stat is at half, do them alongside the 895pic flashes. If it's a live feed of the actual room area, just make it happen IRL but make it stop when you exit the viewing room.

106: You see a scientist or Class D standing at the opposite end of a lengthy corridor and he is coughing and trying to say something. As you get closer, his body will be lowered to his knees to reveal 106 holding it like a puppet from behind to lure you over. The body will have it's head violently broken, almost decapitated, before being thrown at the player by 106 in an almost taunting manner.

096: when you enter the 4 way corridor with a bridge above you in the light containment zone, a person will be heard yelling for help, his voice getting progressively louder. He will run across the bridge with 096 bolting past only a second after; you won't get a good look at him running past because he'll be too quick. Screams and crunching sounds are followed after.

People being pulled by something (106?) through closing doors or even stuck between them so they are cut in half by the door.

I was recently watching a clip from the movie "Cabin in the woods" (Which is basically SCP the movie as far as I am concerned) and I am quite fixated on a set of particular scenes, more so the one at the start, clip below.

In fact I would encourage you to watch the clip as I still think it is basically what happens when the power goes out in the game.

What I would love to see is either an alternate start or a scripted room where the player is being chased by an SCP, say SCP-076 or something similar, and the player runs into a large corridor that is full of a large contingent of Guards who turn around and start firing at you, however the Guards hold fire when they hear the approaching sound of the pursuing SCP only to quickly resume fire when it appears. The guards get mostly slaughterd with a few Guards being able to quickly retreat in two directions and the attacking SCP to pursue one group of surviving Guards.
