But Peanut is right, make it minimal, just small movement, barely notisablelaefoeflv however its spelled.
Ha, don't give me credit for that post, that was Irontaco.

But I think the vent idea is pretty cool too, I think a new room should be made to show it specifically.

Something like one of the corner rooms, with a low-cut ceiling and vent. When you walk through, you'll be greeted with some metallic screeching and concrete jabs. Occasionally, the vent will fall, and 173 will appear, like that of the new maintenance tunnels. Not sure how 173 dropping will be handled, the gravity physics in game are kinda off, 173 falling looks a bit goofy when he floats down like he doesn't give a shit.
Too much of a jump scare if he drops down, I think it would be better if you were to walk into a room and just see his head poking out upside down, would be more unnerving.

Ehh, the way I see it playing out would be less of a jumpscare and more of creepy appearance. It won't just fall down right as you walk up to it, but as you enter the room. And I personally see 173's upside-down head poking outright of a vent a bit silly.
It slep time bunner.

Perhaps if it was in a really bright room, if you did the lighting in a specific way and perhaps added the correct sounds and music you could actually get it to work right.
