the red light should be changed into something like police alarm (that has the spinning light (sorry i don't know what it called)
it will be more realistic. but if the alarm can cause framerate to fall then use an alarm that blinking slowly or something like that

It actually depends on the purpose of those lights. If they are for warning purposes, they could as well be rotating lights. However I like to see the current in-game red-lights as building emergency lights that turn on in case of power failure, and should be static and fairly dim.

The thing I'm looking forward to the most is the bright light from the rooms like outside the decontamination chamber cast light on the darker hallways as you open the door.
It would also be cool if 860's new 'glow' would cast light around it.

This will be interesting. If all of these ports make it out to spec, I'll have 4 or 5 different versions of the same game. :laugh:

His idea isn't that bad. We now have the lighting capabilities to make a flashlight item with the Irrlicht engine, although I don't think a feature that involved some new mechanic would be present on port release.
