Looks fantastic :D I'm not sure about the big flower though, but the rest looks suitable right now for the forest. .obj format should work okay, my basic idea for each forest tiles flora is having 2 trees spawn at random coordinates on each tile. Then one small plant in a random spot per tile too. (This should keep the poly count in acceptable range as well.)

If you could send anything that's ready over to monoclebios, we can get it being tested in the forest generator.

I also had the thought of randomly spawning simple small polygons on tiles with a transparent texture of dead leaves on the ground as another 'plant'. :) if you need any more ideas or inspiration, try PM'ing Enma_Ai. ( in fact I still need voice lines from her..)

MonocleBios wrote:While we're on this topic, how random do you want each tile to be?
Do you want various number of foliage meshes on varying patterns? Or is a random assortment of 2 trees + 1 foliage mesh in random locations on the tile alright for an initial release?
2 trees + 1 foliage mesh in random spots (but not the same spots in order to avoid clipping) is fine for the initial release. Later on things like meadows of weird plants and things will be needed though.

So I disappear for a while and everything goes crazy what the-

Oh, those plants and rocks look nice^^ The flower is a little too pretty to exist in the forest, though. Plants on the place should be on the ugly side of things, thorny and crooked.

I'm having some problems making the voice for the monster (namely, my microphone is old), but I think I can still manage to do it.

EDIT: Well I managed to make something that resembles the image you linked.

It's not amazing, but it was the best I could do while keeping the flower low-poly.

Alright RisingStar, whenever you feel it's good; send the plant files over to MonocleBios for implementation + testing. I still got a full list: http://www.scpcbgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1832 of stuff still required for SCP-860.. but the community seems capable ( if they really try ;o ) to get it all done.
