Re: MODEL REQUESTS: SCP-096 (the shy guy)

those animation stills are looking great! my only critique is that the "idle" and "walking" animation seem a bit too... stiff for idle and generic for walking. The idle just looks like the default model pose and the walking makes me think he's just taking a casual stroll all "tum dee dum let's go for a walk laa-dee-daa"

I'd say make the idle animation look a bit more "slouched" and shy looking, with his hands closer to his face and maybe looking around slowly ((he IS the Shy Guy, after all)). the walking animation could have him maybe stumbling about, as if trying to keep balanced since his huge arms would most likely throw his balance off. Think of the grunts from Amnesia of the Witches from Left 4 Dead to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

It's hard to really tell what the animations will look like from just still images, but hopefully this helps a bit~

Much thanks to Mirocaine for helping me along the way with getting stuff right, without his help making all of these animations would most likely take longer than it did. :D

the walking animation should be looser, it looks too.... calm, sophisticated.
Yeah, I might do some changes to the animations later.

Thanks, I'm glad you think so.
You've got a point, I'll probably have to change those animations a bit later on. :P
The attack animations aren't done yet, right? Did you think about what he would do?
Not yet, I will make it later, so I wouldn't have these periods of no-work. And thank you.
Some quick links for myself (and you all too).

Hm, if I were to make any suggestions for the animations based on the pics, it would be the panicking animation. It seems a bit too tame (IMO), as he doesn't appear to be displacing any of his body parts other than his arms and knees. I'd figure when he freaks out, he seriously freaks the hell out, doubling over, and stumbling over himself when he leans up. I would also think it'd be nice to have a longer panic animation, so he isn't waving his arms and flailing his body the same way for the whole 30 seconds, maybe a couple of seconds longer, or alternate ones.

That all said, it's hard to judge an animation by a picture.
It slep time bunner.
