Survival Mode

#1
A while back I read the expanded file on 173, where he undergoes binary fission and basically destroys the planet. Perhaps there could be a simple gamemode where 173 continuously spawns, slowly increasing in number until you are facing 6 173's in every room you enter. It would be a kind of endurance mode, where there is no ending and you try to survive as long as possible.

I believe it would be very easy to code, just having the original have a replicating algorithm or something like that.

If this ever to take, and it was time to expand it, maybe there could just be a slightly modified intro sequence, where 173 replicates right in front of you and you don't even have the part where you have to step inside his chamber before it is go time.

Thoughts? Ideas? Criticisms? Random images of cats either condemning or applauding this article?

Anyone who has spawned 6 173's before knows that this is a health hazard.
People would die of heart attacks! :gasp: :173: :173: :173: :173: :173: :173:
I dont think this is a good Idea for the main game but some sort of survival spin off does sound cool!

You'd need a lot of space to succesfully pull this off without walling the player in.

The 2 173's in the beginning would take a long time to replicate, figure they split once an hour. By the time they have replicated to 16 or so, and without other SCP's to worry about, they would know (Hopefully) how to deal with them relatively easy.

Replication time could be increased by difficulty level I suppose, with Safe being once an hour, Euclid every half hour, and for really hardcore gamers, once a minute on Keter. You would need to be a force of a nature, a destroyer of worlds.
