[MODEL] SCP-339 (Be Silent, Be Still) [Done?]

#1
So let me tell you a small story, not so long ago (about 3-4 days ago) I suggested an SCP known as "Be silent, be still" and how I thought it would make a good use for the crouching mechanic of the game. So I'm quickly learning using blender, and making the model is running smoothly. As of now the model doesn't look like much.

I'm also trying to work on the tendrils....Keyword being trying.

Sounds and looks good though in thurther improvement it could have tiny holes and tentacles/tendrils (as you are doing at the moment...) everywhere like on the SCP-Site (SCP-Wiki)
Somebody could also do a containment chamber as described with going through an airlock.

The containment chamber should be made somehow that it forces the player to walk (better said crouch) through it in order to progress. Maybe the only way around it's chamber is a key pad locked door (which obvioulsy cannot be opened) were the MTFs can pass through. Also, would this room be more fitting in light or in heavy containment?
Do you think NASA invented thunderstorms to cover up the sound of space battles?

Most likely heavy containment considering possibly containing the damn thing is impossible.

I thought that while I thought of airlock though an airlock in SCP would not usually made though that is a good idea as well and I know an SCP Game that is called The Endless Stairwell where you start with 3D environment and then go in a building and need to go through something like an airlock (Something where air goes through that have these square/rectangular shapes) and you need to crouch so good idea :)
And it would be in the Heavy Containment Zone because SCP-339 is a Keter Class

Oh, sorry, I didn't even notice you said you wanted to animate it yourself. My bad!

Yeah, just make it a separate model and from there you could probably just do it Smite style. For the characters in that game that have tentacles or anything (i.e. Scylla) that need to grow out of them they hide the extra model in the ground and have it "warp" to the correct space it needs to grow out of during an animation. It's pretty clever! :)

Another similar way of doing it would be to scale down the root bone of each of the tentacles and animate them scaling up when they need to grow out of the sphere.

You could try taking the animation from the SCP-035 tentacles and put them in that except make the texture different and use a different sound... or no sound at all...
Whatever...
This is just an idea

And a good one too! I completely forgot 035 had those tentacles that came outta the ground. I'd be more confident in that idea if I were you! :D

Still, the way he's currently doing it gives Alicorn the chance to go through the whole process and really learn Blender's interface by making it from scratch, and re-importing the tentacles into Blender with its bones and animations might be a challenge of its own. Either way'd probably get the job done though!

Good luck to ya, Alicorn! :)
