[1.0.6]S-NAV causes extreme framerate loss

#1
Bringing up any S-NAV model (Tested originally with S-NAV 300 and Ultimate, but also occurs with 310 and red 300 causes framerates to drop to 6 or 7 FPS from around 56. FPS limit was set to 60 in the INI file (reverting to 30 did nothing), and vsync on/off made no difference. Bringing up the debug HUD caused a slightly worse drop, bringing the framerate to 5 FPS.

Relevant system specs:
GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 560 (1GB) (Driver version 344.75, newest as of this writing)
CPU: Intel i5-2400 (3.4 GHz Quad-core)
RAM: 4GB DDR3 (Don't recall the brand)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 version 6.1.7601 (Terribly out of date, I know.)
Resolution: 1440x900

Note: When updating from 1.0.4, I dragged-and-dropped most files to the existing folder, skipping only over the SFX folder to avoid overwriting some modded sounds. I added in the rest after the game complained of a few missing sounds.

EDITS 1&2: Added information.
EDIT 3: Updated to newest version of Geforce drivers (344.75, from 344.48). FPS now increased to 7, up from 6.

Apologies for the double post, but I did a smidge more testing, which I will append to the OP as well. I went ahead and testing the red S-Nav, as well as the 310. Both still caused the significant frame rate drop. Lowering the framelimit back to 30 (I had it at 60) made no difference.

I'm running the game at 1440x900 resolution. Nvidia drivers are version 344.48, which are almost certainly out of date.

That might be the problem. Update your drivers, and play the game in windowed. It should be fixed. Also, the S-NAV probably should shorted down the FPS by a few. It shows every room that's near you on a line map. There was no need for a double post. Just click the edit button, then say "EDIT:" then write the edit down.

That seems to have been the case. Playing the game in windowed mode, S-Nav causes the framerate to drop to 22. Low, but playable. Thank you for the help and sorry again for the double. I was afraid the edit wouldn't be seen otherwise.

EDIT: As I prefer to play games fullscreen, I used the help of a program called GameCompanion to run the game in a sort of simulated borderless mode. Strangely, this resulted in the S-Nav causeing absolutely no framerate loss whatsoever. I turned on the FPS counter to be sure, and hot damn, 59 FPS, smooth as butter. For the record, I'm using version 2.4 of the program, which is almost certainly really out of date.
