Hi all. I apologise if this has been reported elsewhere but i cannot seem to find this exact problem.

I have downloaded and started the game. No matter which settings i choose in the launcher the in-game text does not appear at all. (not flashing like some posts not present whatsoever)

Just to be clear this includes all caption style in-game text but also all menu text in-game and in start menu

This occurs with all graphics settings I have attempted (changed some NVIDIA control panel settings which one poster recommended). I have downloaded the game twice to see if it was a file related error.

Any help would be much appreciated as no in-game text appears at all meaning i cannot actually play the game.

Try to re-download it, maybe the files are corrupted, or there is something that just didn't download.

This is a common problem, seeing your pc specs says that it is very new. The thing is Blitz3d (game engine) is way to old for newer hardware. Also because of this reason my game is very glitchy. And low fps.

As far as i do you cant fix it because of the engine. (It could also be the FastEx plugin or something.

Get a older pc with XP. (It should help.)

I am having this problem as well. it loads but there is no text in the loading screens or menus, or in game. i've tried running in compatibility with xp etc, re-downloading it
and no success. have had no problems like this in previous versions. other than horrible performance for a high end machine (but that's to be expected with such an unoptimized engine)
the game itself works fine. but i don't want to simply ignore the fact that there's no text because that doesn't fix the problem. Is there a solution to this at all that doesn't require an old pc?

cpu: 4790k
Gpu: gtx980
Ram: 16GB
OS: Windows 8.1

I am having a similar issue, some textures/text are too dark whilst others are missing entirely. I also noticed a strange black flicker on the screen. Using 1.1.5 version, my specs are as follows:

OS: Windows 8.1
CPU: Intel Core I7 3.2GHZ Quad-core
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT545

Probably not, you would need a older pc with older hardware and maybe some older drivers. Blitz3D's base OS is windows 2000. So you know how old it is.

One thing that could work is using a virtual machine. I haven't tried it and performance may be even worse.
