The guy who made the SCP 173 song (Glenn Leroi) and other SCP related songs is making an album with the songs on them. What do you guys think about this?

I think you can write a song about what you want. If its not the melody or lyrics he could write about whatever he wants. But he said he wants to "hire" a producer? I would consider this more of a hobby and not a "real" album you should be able to buy. More as a download for free. For the fans not for the money.

Yeah, he's fine with the songs until he starts selling them. Each of the SCPs is protected by a creative commons attribution and I can't say that everyone on the wiki'd be happy if he started making money off of their work.

It is rather generous of him to donate his money to Reg though.
