"I haven't had any assignments recently, unless carrying documents and sorting out mail in the mailroom count".
Lowrey sighed.
"Whatever happened to the old days, when we weren't attacked this much, and doctors wouldn't suddenly vanish each day?", Lowrey asked.
"I wouldn't mind for it all to end", Lowrey leaned his head back on the couch and closed his eyes.

#292Trex sat alone at the couch, eating the piece of pizza he had taken. He didn't feel like drinking that night, though he couldn't say the same for Rosalene. She had already drunk 3 bottles of booze and it didn't seem like she had any intention to stop.
Trex looked to the man who had just entered the room. He squinted, and felt that he knew this man. Perhaps from some past experiment? Or maybe - Aha! The failed 914 test. Trex remembered this man! Dr. Ulrich Mestiar! Though he also remembered his alias, Dr. Strange. It wasn't a very...strong nickname but it definitively described him.
"Hello there, Strange."

Re: SCP Forum Roleplay
#293Dr. Lavrov: "Unfortunately, SCPs don't just 'end'. And suicide-" (glancing over) "-is completely out of the question. This is just how it is. Doctors, friends even, dropping left to right. Just makes it all the better that we're alive and able to stop that from happening to the public. It isn't a nice job, but these are the sacrifices that must be made. The more SCPs contained, the more losses here. Here-- not out there, in the big, delicate world."
(Dr. Lavrov sighed and took a big gulp on the soda. He glanced back at Lowrey with a look of sorrow.)
Dr. Lavrov: "It isn't easy."

#295He overheard Lavrovs conversation.
"Ill fucking drink to that!"
He laughed humorlessly and downed another shot. He pulled out his wallet and stared at a picture of a beautiful young woman. He blinked a few times, and pocketed the item. He sighed and reached for a shotglass.

#296Lowrey leaned over to Lavrov.
"I think Slade is starting to lose it", Lowrey whispered.
"He's been a leader during this entire containment breach. It's weird to see him like this".
Lowrey stood up to meet Mestiar by the coffee maker.
"Good afternoon Dr. Mestiar. Where were you this morning?" Lowrey asked.

#297He stared into the empty glass. He felt like hell, and he looked even worse. He was getting worse than usual. When he wasn't on a mission, he was always a little different. But this time, it was much worse. He sighed yet again. He needed a friend or something.
Re: SCP Forum Roleplay
#298Strange, noone at the surface of the foundation have called him "dr Mestiar" since a long time ago, Mestiar turns his head slowly to Lowrey, thinking "How does he know my real name?" and then asking him:
-Do i know you? Im sorry, but not so many people call me Dr Mestiar anymore, just some close friends call me like that. People call me "Dr Strange", sounds familiar to you?
Mestiar proceed to take the cup of coffe and he fill another cup for Lowrey
-Want some?

#299*He felt depressed and angry at the same time. He hoped to drink away his problems but it didn't work. He knew that the only way to rid himself of his problems and feelings was to confront Dr. Gears and put an end to Dr. Ether's plan.*
I can't do it alone, he thought.
*He looked around the room.*
These guys would probably be the end of me if I told them. Best if I just keep it to myself, he said in his head.
*He stood up, picked up another beer, and left the room to find a secluded place.*

#300(Dr. Lavrov nodded at Lowrey's comment. Lavrov knew there was something off about the captain, even though he was nuclear scientist and not a psychologist. He got up after Lowrey went to greet some strange looking doctor. Lavrov wasn't sure who he was, but he seemed harmless enough, aside from that ridiculously thick German accent. He came next to the captain and sort of sat there in an awkward and uncomfortable silence for a few minutes. Grabbing his seventh slice of pizza from one of the boxes, Lavrov he looked hard at Slade now. He was worn, beaten, and had a heavy look of melancholy on his face, dragged down by what seems to be misfortune. Knowing that touching an MTF, regardless of passive attitude, was a regrettable idea, Lavrov simply smiled a liar's smile and began to talk the man.)
Dr. Lavrov: "The past is hard to shake off, isn't it. Ya' just got look to the bright side. (southern accent slipping)
"It gets better all in due time, Mr. Grevick."
