How's Unity working out for you. I've never actually heard the opinion of someone who's never used a different Linux distro before.
Pretty good, i was able to get SCP Containment Breach working on Ubuntu via Wine. in addition, i was also able to get some of my favorite Windows apps working via Wine as well. *cough* *cough* Steam on Linux though *cough* *cough*, i mean, Steam works OK on Ubuntu, but since Ubuntu is a Linux distro, i was unable to get my favorite games to work on Ubuntu, as it seems Steam as a section for Steam OS+Linux Games at least i was able to get some of my favorite games working on ubuntu.
EDIT: Reverted back to windows 8, Ubuntu sucks because it is hard to navagate, but it was a pretty intresting expierence using Ubuntu anyways.

KDE > Gnome > Unity IMO, Ubuntu was much better when it used Gnome as its desktop environment. But if you're going to use Linux, you need to learn how to use the terminal; it makes life so much easier.
