If someone is holding a gun at your face do you honestly think you will have the time to reach down, pull out your gun, and aim it at your target before being shot at yourself? As explained prior different countries have different attitudes towards these things, so comparing my country to the US won't be necessarily good comparison, at least in this case.

At the end of the day though I don't care if you own a gun, or that it is your "God Given Right" to have one. I only care that you are of sound mind and not going to go off your block because no one bothered to check your background, mental and otherwise, when you bought that firearm, or registered your license.

What's wrong with abortions? I really think that gun control needs a reform. I'm all for people being able to own guns, since they're fun to shoot and are an American staple, but gun control in America is weird as shit. Some guns are banned, some that are deadlier aren't, some seem to have been banned because they were in CoD, and some because they were scary looking. They should just have tighter control over it, background checks, people with history of instability should not be allowed to have one, mandatory classes and permits. Stuff like that.

@ hug, so I guess if someone were pointing a gun at me, I would have to kung-fu it out of his hands?

Would be much better if you had Jackie Chan teach you self defence.

Heck, here in Denmark YOU can get sued by the robber and or murder if you hurt them in self defence.

so if someone held a gun to your face to rob you, or an attempted murder and you hurt that person in self defense, that person can sue you? ._. that is unfair

You aren't even allowed to defend your home against robbers as they can take you to court for apparently causing them "pain and suffering".
