Yes I know, the point of a forum is to post and discuss stuff, but making posts like "I wish I could help", "I don't know how to help you", or just things that make the conversation be in the exact same position as it was before. If you are writing a post ask yourself, "Self, will this post contribute to the discussion in any way, or will it just be a complete waste of time?" or "Self, does this post convey the exact same thing that was said five times before by other people without adding anything new?". Those are the things that you should think about before posting. Yes, I know making your post count rise is cool, I've been there before and I've made every attempt to change to better, and yes it feels cool that you are collaborating. Except you aren't you are just writing the same stuff others did. If you can't help in the problem or give a solution, don't bother posting. Not posting is already a way of saying that you don't know.

I for example (yes, I know it sounds narcissistic talking about myself this way, but hey, I know myself better than I know others) I don't post almost anything in the following forums: Bugs, 087-B and mods. Why? Because I know I won't be adding anything of use. I don't find many bugs. I don't know how to fix bugs. I don't play 087-B that much. I don't have any interest in mods. This is why I don't post there, because I am of no help at all. Me posting there just for the sake of posting would just be plain stupid and pointless. Just don't post if you don't have anything to add.

Aside from pointless threads, we also need to stop with pointless posts.
This needed to be said for ages on the CB forums. There has been an overflow of pointless posts in even Collaboration topics, which are supposed to be important. I've even seen some in the Info threads, like the Forum User Rules, or the FAQ. I sometimes wonder what they think when they post useless posts. Thank you for addressing these issues. Hopefully the community will benefit from what they see in this thread. You make excellent points, and you have my full support on them.

^ best example of people thinking some topics are pointless when it isn't.
Best example of someone not realizing that we do not care about trivial things such as they new youtube format. It is already stablished that people bitch when something is changed in youtube, and honestly, no one cares. It is not relevant to the forums, and it brings nothing new except a few minutes of drama because it is a pointless thread that has the lifespam of a fly.

Didn't realize that was sarcasm. Sorry! :x
And so, we see the problem with reading sarcasm rather than hearing it. The sarcastic tone can be infinitely subtle in writing.

But yeah, I agree with most of the rules, but 3A? I hope you don't mean that many ACTIVE forum game threads. That would fill up 1.5-2 pages, and we might as well call the Off-topic section the Forum Game section. In all seriousness, though, 2-4 game threads should be enough.

But they won't just listen! there is many proof for that google dosen't care about us, so filing a complaint would be pointless.

Writing about it on a small forum in which the max amount of people active is around 10 to 20 will do less. When complaining about a new update on a certain webpage the best thing to do is contact SAID webpage and filing a complaint. Not bitching about it on a forum that has nothing to do with it. What did you think, that posting it here will make google realize their mistakes?

Again, will not work, google only cares about money, not youtube.

They'll eventually be pissed that the activity of YouTube went down, and they get less money. And YouTube in general will be mad that Google destroyed their website(hypothetically) and caused such an activity drop. And get back on topic, please. We need not discuss this here.
