Yes, it should be the reason why, but if the human consciousness was the only thing in charge then the world probably wouldn't have charity. Morality is pretty much just an invention made by society, not the human brain itself.

What about all these charities in the UK and US that is supposed to send money to Africa for fresh water and other necessities? people must donate billions of pounds/dollars to those causes every year, including comic relief in the UK, but is that money actually going to Africa? because the whole of Africa is still in severe poverty even though comic relief raises 50 million last year alone

Luckily I live in New York so I don't really need to be too concerned over it. However I have seen this event in the news and I'm aware that there have been a few casualties and a few hundred injuries. For this I feel sorry and I wish the best of luck for the people of Oklahoma.
