I looked up, Slade entered with casual clothing. A cover I assumed, this hospital was too public. Then again, the room was mostly empty.
"Slade, Oh God, you gotta help me, get me outta here-"
"I don't recall any civilians having access here" The man said.
"Slade, he's an illusion, ignore him-"
"I'm far from an illusion, boy" he interjected. Hos voice had changed. And when he stepped away from the group of doctors, he had a suit now. His features had changed. I didn't know him, though.
"Well, Slade, I've been meaning to ask you, why must it take so long for a child to burn in acid, after all they are very fragile-"
"Don't listen to him, Slade!" I screamed. I already saw the glint in his eyes. He was very close to breaking, I knew it. It suddenly occurred to me that he had spoken to me about this man, and I had even remembered hearing Slade capture this man over the MTF channel.
"You already got him, Slade. Please, he's not real, the real Kale being manhandled by your own men-"
"And your wife, what a masterpiece she was.. too bad she was ruined so." he interjected.
"Slade, pay attention, you must tell me he is not real, or he'll put you in his own world, tell me that now" I said firmly. My leg was positively on fire, and my arm was beginning to look like mushrooms would grow on it. I didn't care, this was a crucial decision for him. Should he believe me, the entity would have no power, but should he decide otherwise, I could only imagine him suddenly looking about, seeing a house, his wife and children about, dead.
