Nope, it started on Funnyjunk when a user posted an image of an angry gorilla with the caption "That Really rustled my Jimmies". It became popular when a 4Chan user posted the following words.

Jimmies Status:
[ ]-Not Rustled
[X]-Rustled

Then later someone took a picture of a gorilla from a cerial box and added the caption "My Jimmies remained Unrustled", that gorilla from the box is currently Ominary's forum pic.
