It's falling down the Stone Path in the Pocket dimension (just read the wiki). It's a narrow "walkway" (hence balance beam) that has stones moving around it. Since sprinting isn't possible in the Pocket dimension, you can't avoid getting hit and falling down if you cross it, so you might as well jump down and let fate decide if you die or escape the dimension.

Yes but autotroph was looking for this logic. The first 2 lines are correct but the last 2 are empty.

As it sends things on a recursion - according to the wiki, it creates a hallway(?) which has many doors that lead back to the starting point
