I watched this and...the first half was rather meh, not a lot happened, liked the intro segment though. Then half way through after Rainbow dash did the double rainboom...it...went downhill, from where it already was, it became painful to watch.
I don't really want to make a long essay on why I hated it, just saying that this was a rather disappointing video, I thought it would be much better from Spark's feedback.
I rate this about a 5/10 excluding the second half, I hope I never have to witness anything like this again.
I noticed I had added 2 too many 0s, I meant to say I was giving it a 10/10.
Was still half sleeping after the gaming last night when I typed it.
What fun is there in making sense?
Now, if you will excuse me i have some chaos to wreak.

The fact that people hated it makes me sad for humanity. I don't post much, but I feel I have to get this off my chest.

FFS, its a fucking fanimation. A fanimation. Not the fucking goddamn show. It's not going to be god's gift to earth, Jesus' second coming, fucking messianic-ass divinity. I got what I fucking wanted.
It's an 8/10 from me. God, some of the people in this fandom make me want to kill things.

For fuck's sake, he didn't have to fucking make it. He didn't have to fucking give it to you people. What the fuck?

Well, that certainly took some courage of me, trying to watch a full My Little Pony episode... and I didn't actually. I skipped through it a lot and when I hit the second half, it all went weird. Bunch of cameos and Rainbow Dash killing a dragon because the Powerpuff Girls didn't do much ( I do love the PP Girls though). Yeah, I probably should have watched it all. Seemed pretty cool though. And it was fanmade so it gets 0.3 more points in my verdict. Voice acting from what I could tell was pretty good and I'm suspecting that it was pretty close to the original voices. Animation and music pretty good. Yeah, really nice I suppose.

Final verdict: 3.5 + 0.3 = 3.8 papayas out of 6.
Heheh, you said a bad word.

All of you guys really are special. Did you guys know that? Yes you guys are! Each in your own special way.

Animation was superb. Voice acting was great. Storyline was fine. I did like the crossover. 9/10

Being fanimation doesn't really defend it from critism and hatred.

So I should probably give it more ratings or something, I'm bored right now.

Animation: 8/10
The animation was decent, though they did look a tad off sometimes, not sure why, I think it might have been change in facial expressions. I wouldn't really consider it 100% show accurate. I also think there were some certain camera angles which could have been used better, I can't really remember any specific examples, but it was mainly during that draw out flight sequence.
The parts where the ponies were drawn based on BBBFF started out as cute but I felt it became overused.

References: 6/10
Eh.. I don't know, there were quite a few references in here, a lot of them seemed a bit forced though, such as the extended shot of Time turner just standing there, the adopt a chicken billboard and.... the magical cloud trollface..*sigh*

Sound quality: 10/10
Was bueno

Story: 2/10
*sigh* I'm just....for the sake of my sanity I will not review the story, I'll just say it was bad.

Voice acting: 8/10
The voice acting was pretty good, except for Rainbow dash, although I guess you can't match the original voices perfectly (unless you're Rina-Chan)
As I said earlier, they ruined rainbows cute laugh in this and made her sound constipated.

Overall I'd probably give about a 6/10, the execution was great, but forced references and storyline ruined it.
I'm not here as much right now, mention me on our Discord server if you need anything.

I suppose the creators can't be at fault for writing a sub-par story or forcing the references; it was written and directed by an animation student. Unless you excel at both art and writing you're going to have to pick one or the other, and since this project seemed more like an experiment in how far we can make our animation look like the real deal, the visual side was more important and the episode came out stronger because of it. I guess with all the hype we were hoping for more 'episode' and less 'fan-made'.

In short, while I did very much like and enjoy Double Rainboom, it could have benefited from making use of one or two of the many talented writers in the fandom.
