Some bronies are strange on the alicorn Twilight topic.
They have been making fanfics since season 1, with many ways Twilight becomes an alicorn (I can recommend 2 very very good fanfics which actually has a prety solid background story, on why she becomes one: The empty room, and, Inner demons), and now they start to whine about her actually becoming one.

Hmm. Twilight as an alicorn. That would be awesome, but pretty disappointing too.

She's fine the way she is. I'd just like her to remain the pony that she is.

The series is based around Twilight and her five friends, it just wouldn't work if she were on that much higher level than the others. Would they want to hang out with an all-powerful alicorn Princess who can just magic away their problems? Of course not. Personally I don't think this change will be permanent. Due to the nature of the season finale (magic spell gone awry), it may even be a Matrix-like scenario where it's just in a character's head.

I have quite high hopes that they'll handle this properly, after all; they haven't disappointed us yet. (Nobody breathe a word about Sombra, he was a great villain!)

The synopsis suggests Twilight changes everyone's destiny and she has to fix it. She probably has to give up the princess thing.

In DHX Media's fiscal documents for 2012, a Season 4 was mentioned as being commissioned.

Anyway SFK pretty much posted my opinion, I'll just wait and see how this goes.
