You're starting to repeat yourself, stop being so stubborn. e_e As said before, it's not only admins who can remove "crap", you can too (which you apparently haven't been doing, despite your claims - your contribution log doesn't show much). Destructoid's case has been resolved a long time ago - that's back then when the wiki had even worse problems than it does now.CommanderPro100 wrote: Believe me, I've done that many times and within a few days is re-filled with the same crap.
I'm not asking you to fix the problems, I'm just saying that it's pointless to try to reform pages when it constantly gets re-filled with crap, and the admins don't do shit about it. Also, how exactly do you want me to prove that people have been banned from the wiki for removing crap info, what do you want a video? The first post on this thread is a good example of someone being banned for adding shit, and I seriously doubt Destructoid was lying.
And yes, I do want proof for being banned for that. Unverified claims don't do much, and that's pretty much all you're doing.
Go on and contribute, then! There's no need for permission or a "call" - considering its current state, contribution is well welcome. Just remember to create an account first.Ltn Vasquez wrote: Actually, I would like to contribute. Even though there is a lot of bad feeling going around, I can probably help out to clean up the pages. Just give me the call and I'll go do it.
First of all, thanks for your input. Glad that there are still others caring about this.Awesomeguy147 wrote: Proof is that this thread even needs to exist. If the admins were doing the job there then there wouldn't be a mess to complain about. How do you suppose they provide you with the proof that they were banned, I think them just saying it is proof enough, as there isn't really any reason to lie. So the administration obviously is to blame, and with them adding back any removals done by banned people, they are essentially the only ones that can remove the information.
It would appear it is obvious who is responsible for all of this. The course of action I suggest: Remove all admins/moderators (except for stellpoint and Regalis, and anybody else that is known to not be part of the problem(but especially get rid of CostaRic if he is still there)) from the wiki before they even know what happened. After that a new generation of moderators would fix the wiki. Whether the plan would fix it or not is unknown, but it would help.
Screenshotting the ban message is enough proof. (also, if there are any mistakenly banned people reading this post, PM me with your IP, and I'll get the issue resolved.) Should you add valid information and having it undone by an admin, calling it faulty, talk it up with them.
Also, removing administrators just doesn't do it. Considering that there are only 3 active ones right now, promoting new ones is a valid idea but there aren't any contributors right now that would deserve the position.
