In what hell does that look aesthetically pleasing? I may not like MLP but at least the default ponies looked nice, these "things" look like abominations in my opinion.

There some fanart versions with them as humans that I would support way more than the disgusting human version they are making.

A manga like version like this maybe: That would earn my support, because it actually is well made and not hurting your eyes.

If this show was realistic the first episode's description would be something on the lines of:

The US Government sends a secret squad of soldiers to a small town which has had reports of odd coloured girls claiming to be horses. They capture the mutants and send them to a military lab for testing.

Apparently in the movie, ALL the humans have bright, multi-coloured skin, horse ears and cutie marks on their cheeks. Some of them even have wings. So no military testing here, but now it's somehow worse.

Sounds like some alternate world made by Discord, which he then abandoned because it was too damn horrifying.

I believe their most vile transgression is making Spike a dog. SPIKE'S A PERSON TOO, DAMMIT!
(It's also even more confounding since Spike was the only main character to have human-like hands in the show)

Though that does lead to some quite humourous animations.
