Second, who wrote this?
I'm sorry but whoever decided to submit this has no idea what they're talking about. So many famous people and celebrities use or have used marijuana in their lives. The president of the United States, Barack Obama has used marijuana once. Our former president George W. Bush is a chronic user. So screw you dude! Naw jk I wuv you all. And btw, I also believe the person who submitted this was lying and simply made the post solely to piss people off. Why would someone smoke pot on the street where that someone would be seen and caught?I'm drug free, inching towards the end of my teenage years and ready to go off to a good college. I thank my good upbringing for this.
I saw an old pot smoker on the streets once...yeah, that's where most of them end up.
I would also like to have a discussion regarding Marijuana's legal status. Marijuana is being recognized as a medicine other than a harmful substance. Marijuana is legalized for recreational use in the state of Washington and Colorado and is legalized for medicinal use in over 15 states. The entire country of Canada allows Marijuana to be used medicinally only. Marijuana is completely legal in North Korea (although their government doesn't give a shit about their people). However, federally the United States classifies Marijuana as a Schedule 1 Substance. In any state of the United States, you are allowed to possess under 1.0 gram(s) of Marijuana legally.
The first marijuana law in the United States was a 1905 El Paso, Texas law. It, and most of the other laws in the southwest that followed, was motivated by racial prejudice against Mexican immigrants. The first state law was a 1913 California law that received little notice. It was promoted by the pharmaceutical industry that saw marijuana as a competitor. That was followed by a 1914 Utah level that was simply a Mormon religious prohibition enacted into law. By 1930, about thirty states had passed laws against marijuana for one reason or another. In the southwest and south, it was primarily racial prejudice against Mexicans and other racial minorities. In the northern states it was primarily the fear that heroin addiction would lead to the use of marijuana. The federal drug policy of the United States began with the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937, and the establishment of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics.
Medically, Marijuana helps people live their lives despite any irregularities they may have (cancer, AIDS, anxiety, depression, etc, etc, etc). I myself am heavily depressed and I take anti-depressants (Sertraline) because of this. Marijuana helps me by redirecting any negative thoughts or emotions I may have into positive feelings and happiness. Skeptical individuals (such as you people) have also tried Marijuana and excepted it into their lives. It's utterly disgusting how you people talk down upon something so great and helpful. Although I'd also like to point how Marijuana can negatively affect someone. Marijuana has been known to give people Chronic Bronchitis. Although this is because people inhale marijuana smoke and keep it in their lungs for an extended period of time. You're not supposed to do this. However this does actually increase how high you get.
P.S. I'd also like to point the steel that yeah, Marijuana does infact make you stupid. Although this is when you're under the substance. Not sober.
P.S.S. This is the final thread of this matter I will post, ever. I'll understand if an Administrator locks this or even bans me. But I just needed to get this off my back. I'm sorry.
