Like a broom closet.

Hell, the janitor would be in for a surprise...
If he were to wander around the place, you could carefully plan it so that when he enters certain room, you close it on him, making him less of a threat. Since he isn't sapient, I doubt he would be able to operate the doors and would just wander around the room(s) that aren't closed. This could be a neat addition since in order to do this you take a big risk on seeing his face.

And yes the janitor would be surprised, it is not every day that an SCP comes out of the closet.

That's a good idea. But then, in-universe, things wouldn't be so simple. There are security cameras everywhere, and if you find a security room (Which should also be implemented), it could be playing back a recording of 096 wandering around. Hell, there could be a cabinet of photos of 096 that were confiscated from public areas, and it might be tipped over with all the photos spilled face up on the floor. Either way, you're dead.

And now I know which quote I'm using in my signature next. Taking things out of context liek a baus.

Yeah, true, but that will just make it more balanced. You will be risking him appearing on a camera feed, but you will get rid of him momentarily. I think it would be a good risk vs reward scenario.

I guess by taking it out of context you mean making it sound as if I said he was gay, because that is exactly what I was implying.

I think something along the lines of this was suggested awhile ago, why would the foundation, knowing what 096 is like, have photographs of it?, makes no sense.

Anyways i decided to draw what i think 096's containment chamber would look like if implemented.

(Sorry for crappy MS paint job)

Also when i say door i meant the gate to where 096 is supposed to be.

I like the idea of pictures somewhere in the High Security Containment area. Perhaps you could mix some other SCP-Photos in there, so players would be more likely to pick them up.
Then, if you'd actually open/look at the picture from your inventory it would then show a shot of 096's face.

What follows could depend on where you are at the time, but I'd imagine that you could most likely hear 096's screams throughout the whole facility if he goes into enrage mode.
That could tell players that they definitely fucked up ;) Even security cameras could work a charm here. We need more of them anyway.

If he's unlucky, or has a tendency to glance at the camera, the player could be in for an unpleasant surprise.
Maybe along with 895 feeds, which would also mean the player has to go directly to the chamber and shut off a remote feed control switch directly next to the monitor, which would be a hard feat if the range has extended.

Perhaps this would only happen when the remote door control is off, and an ominous music cue would play when near a monitor, as it flashes to static and 079's face. Could also make use of the error.ogg file that never seemed to be used.
It slep time bunner.

I agree with this, the player would definitely need some proper warning so not to be too unfair, especially with 096's face.
