682 is still more acceptable then Able (076-2). 682 is a giant fucking lizard, so it's abilities seem more reasonable than being able to respawn every time it dies and having an infinite number of swords, like 076.

I would love to have 682 wandering the halls of the facility, and im 100% sure he will.

He'd have to have his own scripted area- he can't just squeeze between doors and the damage he does to the environment will have to be focused to that scripted area, otherwise there'd be a lot of major changes made to the map system.

we could randomise the path to run from 682.

make special map pieces for that bit exclusively, that work with destructions. with certain special scripted pieces.

then randomise the order of them during the chase so that its still random using special pieces.

There are plenty of SCPs that, as of yet, are unable to be destroyed due to regeneration or brute invulnerability. Just because he has an infinite number of swords doesn't mean he could use them effectively enough against 682 (I'm pretty sure 682 v. 076-2 is one of the most common epic battles contemplated in the SCP world). However, I personally don't approve of either of them being free-roaming.

And absolutely NOTHING is as overpowered as Dr. Clef's proposal for 001 (http://www.scp-wiki.net/dr-clef-s-proposal). But both this and 076 are overpowered to stay canon to the bible, whereas 682 is just the author trying to make the super bestest lizard ever.

I don't see why the bible has ANYTHING to do with 076 being overpowered; with Clef's 001, yes, but not 076. I wasn't saying EITHER should be free roaming (because that's flat-out stupid), but I stand by my point: 682's overpowerness still has a better explanation then 076-2. There was a tale where they pinned up 682 and 076-2 ("The Warrior and The Dragon" was the name, I believe).

I wouldn't bash the author much, either; DrGears is probably one of the most talented writers on the wiki (he made 106 and 053 as well). But, I digress.

Dr. Gears is a fantastic author, but a Mary Sue is a Mary Sue, no matter how well its played. I dislike it for the same reason I dislike 239. It's too "I can do everything." I don't particularly care for able, either. He's a little better, but it's still really close (I'm okay with it for all proposals for SCP-001, because 001 should be special in some way.) I prefer SCPs that have dangerous quirks, such as 173, 469, and 513. They're more interesting to me. These "I can do everything" just aren't as interesting to me.

(How do you find the author of an article? Do you actually have to go to the author pages and find what they've written, or is it somewhere on the page itself?)

I will agree on that much (that 682 is overpowered and essentially a Mary Sue), but 682 has some interesting qualities to me, such as his unknown origins (the idea that there could MORE of him...) and even somewhat tragic traits (it's trapped in a world it doesn't -and can't- understand, away from it's home). Though, this is just me and what I think.
