There are probably a lot of users on this forum who is dissatisfied with the decision of their nickname, as I include myself. I know that the admins can change the nickname of the users. So I'm requesting to change my nickname to any admin who can do it.
This topic can also serve for other people too. Just write a reply with your request.

#3It's not hard to guess, lock and a 'stick to PMs' warning. Neither he or I will see a point to this thread.CLgaming wrote:I'm not sure how Steelpoint will react to this thread really. Only time will tell. but ill join in, please change my name from CLgaming to CLstream plz.
Re: Nickname change
#4Quit saying things you don't know about. Dude is asking legitimate question.
From my knowledge it is completely possible to change an account's username, in forums running phpBB i've had my name changed several times, but, i do suspect you require access to the database to do it, so i'm not sure if Steelpoint might have the permissions to do it, or if it is Regalis.
Either way, i will try asking Steelpoint some time on this, and i'll inform you.
Of course, if everybody suddenly wanted their names changed it wouldn't be a especifically good thing since there would be confusion everywhere.

Re: Nickname change
#5In that case there should be a topic called "Name changes" or something like that which records all name changes. The format would be something like this.
3/11/2014: BrunoU8 changed his name to BachBreaker.
Re: Nickname change
#6Thing is that name changes shouldn't really be a everyday thing anyway. People still may get confused and keeping track of suddenly, say, 15 people who changed their names because they didn't like them is not pretty simple.
I don't quite see how your name is bad, from my point of view.

#7He does, one time he changed his name to Steelpony as a prank.Irontaco wrote: i'm not sure if Steelpoint might have the permissions to do it,
I don't support this myself, I frequent another forum which allows name changes, and it is really really bad.
I'm not here as much right now, mention me on our Discord server if you need anything.
Re: Nickname change
#8My name is too improvised, It's doesn't represent myself, it's just a random name... and if I pronounce it I don't like how it sounds. At the time I made up my name I just took the first thing that popped into my head.
.
I also don't think that all the users of this forum will suddenly begin to change their name. Just my opinionGlitch wrote:I don't support this myself, I frequent another forum which allows name changes, and it is really really bad.

Re: Nickname change
#9Name changes in themselves aren't bad, but the way you want it, in a thread, will probably bring attention, so people would most likely change their names more if there was a thread about the topic.Brunou8 wrote:I also don't think that all the users of this forum will suddenly begin to change their name. Re: Nickname change
#10If name changing should be permitted, there should be a limit to how many times you change a name, such as 2 or 3 times. I also am part of a forum where name changes are frequent and it really is kind of annoying when people keep on changing their alias while you're still trying to remember who they were to begin with.
It slep time bunner.
