#1You have to come close enough into its proximity where it'll activate, quickly step back for it to go off, and run through before it activates again.
It slep time bunner.

#2I go right near to but not in proximity. Then it sets off. I am not killed and I wait 3 seconds to make sure it isn't activating again. Then I run like hell.
