Re: How did you discover the SCP foundation?

Does anyone remember the old "creepypasta.net" site?
I used to browse it for hours at a time. It went down a few years ago (I think) but someone posted the SCP 173 article to it, complete with picture. I stayed away from it, because the picture was creepy as fuck. Like I said, yeeears ago, now I'm a horror junkie. Anyway, I remembered the SCP tag and looked it up a few years later. Now , I recently decided to check it out again and now I'm working on two games and am hooked on it.

One day during school lunch, a friend of mine came up to me and said, "Dude, I know a game you'd love."
I looked at him and replied, "Okay. What is it?"
"It's called SCP Containment Breach"
"What's it about?" I asked out of curiosity.
"In the game, you're a person who's running away from all these monsters that are contained in this underground facility."
Skeptical that scpcb is a good game I said, "I don't know man. It seems like it would get boring after a while. I mean, is there even some sort of objective?"
"Not yet. But seriously though, you should give it a shot."
"I don't know."
"Just come to the library with me and I'll show you how good it is."
After a moment, I said, "Fine. Let's go." When he turned it on, the first thing I noticed was how bad those two class D's at the beginning looked. I watched him go through the intro, he showed me 173's document, and he ran around the facility for a while. Once he came up to a lockroom2 door, he opened it to find SCP-173 staring him in the face. The both of us jumped
and screamed. In the midst of all the shushing going on after our scream, I thought to myself, "That was so awesome!" Ever since, I was hooked. I had always been intruiged by scary stuff, but I guess I never knew his much I liked it until this.

It's a long story.

During winter 2012/2013, I was a big fan of Slender - the eight pages. However, the game got boring after some time so I googled for games similiar to slender and found list with five games. They were The Corridor, Hide, sth, SCP-087 and SCPCB. I was really interested in the concept of scpcb, but I didnt really know more about it. After playing for some time, I found out that the game is based on the scp foundation, and that's when I discovered it.

I initially saw a the SCP-173 article first on maybe the Creepypasta wiki.

Later on, I saw Pewds play it and I really wanted to know more. So after watching his Teens React episode, I decided to download it in v0.3.2. It was good to mess around with the console and the first true scare I had was SCP-106. I had SCP-173 disabled so I though I was good right. Wrong. After leaving from hours with SCP-914, I decided to enter the office that held SCP-420-J. Cue the god forbidden sound. After noticing it, I was thinking (SCP-682 is in this room) so I immediately backed out and in a second he just came right though the door and scared the living SHIT out of me. I then quit and deleted the save :D :'(
