Sad thing is this is the mindset of a lot of people usually. They see one tragic event and then suddenly they think the world is going to hell.

I'm pretty sure that's not true and they're just exaggerating the claim. I'm not trying to defend the judge's choice but they probably just hold a grudge against them for their decision. I'd probably do the same if that happened to my son (or ya know, if I had one).

So I don't ever do this, but I really feel the need to. I want to talk about my week as it comes to a closure.



I've had terrible luck this week. It's been nothing but bad omens and worse events. I got very sick a few days prior to today, a cough, sore throat, and growing on sick stomach now and difficulty breathing at seemingly random times. But that's not even the worse part.

Before that, whilst walking around campus, I have unfortunate enough to somehow get caught in a thorn bush. And while trying to get the thorns out of my skin, I gripped some poison ivy that was right next to a tree that the bush is next to. Great. So the week is already pretty bad. But here's where it gets much worse.

While on my way to the movies with my roommate after about six'ish yesterday, we were driving on a mildly long road. Nothing too lengthy. But apparently lengthy enough, since we barely avoided getting into quite a few car accidents. Yes, a FEW. On the same road, in the same span of the hour. So what happens when we finally get to the theater? The fire alarm goes off as soon as we're seated. Thankfully it wasn't an actual fire, and we returned to the movie about half an hour later.

All in all though, the week was pretty bad luck. On the bright side, I got to know my roommate and I'm still alive. So there's that.
