That is how I was thinking it would be, 079 could have hacked into some of the facilities computer monitors to make it more difficult for someone to get out without being traumatized.ndi05 wrote:Maybe 079 changes the monitors to show 895.Sparks wrote:And why would the foundation place multiple video screens of the coffin around the entire facility, when it already has an observation screen near it?
That is not how they do it.
They have an observation room near the SCP in question, nowhere else will there be a feed of said SCP.
Keep it canon.
You just don't think creative.

Re: An idea for SCP-895
#14I think it's a great idea, 895 is barely used in the game, and this would add a an incentive to go in the containment cell and turn off the camera / destroy it. ;)Nashda wrote:I had a quick little thought about 895's presence in the game, it is somewhat pointless. What my idea here is, why not have some of the screens in other parts of the facility show the camera view of 895. It would have more of a use in the game if you have to not look at some screens in the offices.
I know that it could be a little obnoxious though to keep having to avoid looking at particular screens in the facility, but I find it necessary because 895 isn't used as much as it should.
There could also be a reason to enter it's containment chamber as well. I think the camera for 895 should be able to get destroyed if this idea gets into the game. That way you have a reason to go down to it, destroy the camera, and stop the computer screens from showing the footage of it.

Re: An idea for SCP-895
#16I very much agree with the idea of 079 affecting computers to show feed from 895 to players.
Although I still have a problem with there being a camera on SCP-895 whatsoever, considering you'd think that the personnel would probably not want any video feed on it due to its affects.
Possible idea: SCP-079 could manage to get control over a small camera vehicle, which it then moves to 895's chamber. 079 would use it to scare you randomly throughout the game, and it could give you a reason to go to 895's chamber and disable it, plus you'd get chased by 106 after you did that, so I think it would put you on edge.

Re: An idea for SCP-895
#17Actually that would make a lot more sense than the current thing. I always wondered "why is there a camera that close to the damn coffin" a camera vehicle controlled by 079 would make a lot more sense. Although it would require modelling and stuff, it would add an objective for the player. Plus the idea of putting a useful keycard in the chamber as well makes even more of a use to go into the chamber.TastyRhombus wrote:I very much agree with the idea of 079 affecting computers to show feed from 895 to players.

Re: An idea for SCP-895
#18I think having 079 toggle camera feeds with 895 is a fantastic idea, it gives reason to the SCP again. Definitely something that should be implemented, although I'm starting to notice that the overall difficulty will soon have to be toned down a bit..
Re: An idea for SCP-895
#19Having 079 change the feeds is an OK idea, but i would with adding it till the game got a little bigger first.
At the moment it would be kinda overkill.

What fun is there in making sense?
