Lots of indie Devs forget to follow game development standards and just called it an alpha.

I think i am gonna make a thread on this.

Alpha:

Alpha is the stage when key gameplay functionality is implemented, and assets are partially finished. A game in alpha is feature complete, that is, game is playable and contains all the major features.

First playable:

The first playable is the game version containing representative gameplay and assets, this is the first version with functional major gameplay elements. It is often based on the prototype created in pre-production.

most of the above ripped of wikipedia
Most people have just dubbed 'first playable's' as 'pre-alpha's'

I see, that's ok.

Sometimes I get confused though cause people will be like LOOK AT MY NEW SCP GAME ALPHA 0.2.

and I'm expecting to be able to see or play a full game with many bugs or crappy looking but then you aren't even able to play through the whole game...

That is correct, we did state that it was a pre alpha, the alpha should be out within the next month or so :)

Just uploaded a status to facebook saying 'Our coders exams are finished! So we can hopefully start pumping out progress and updates! Will try to make a video ASAP keeping everyone in the loop, any questions you want answered for when I release the video? Post them here, and ask your friends or others!'

If you wish to ask questions to be answered in detail in the video, please perhaps comment the question on the status? If you'd like to like the page while you're there I would love you forever? ;D
