#52I would recommend Maya, you can get a student licence and get the software for free, plus it is REALLY powerful. I use it along with 4D Cinema.GruntunitG602 wrote:Hey. Hey guys hey.

Anyways, untill the above is confirmed, Blender is the best free program available. That powered with GIMP (Free Photo-Shop Clone) can produce commercial quality models
with textures made and models made from scratch.

#56Does Maya support Multiplayer? If it does, I may have a little big project to it
Oh and it is hard to use, or it's pretty basic?

Re: 3D Modeling showing
#57You can go to the main webpage (autodesk) and if you are a student of any school you can just pick any school in the US, then you can pick the latest version as of right now. It is not a commercial license, but it is the software in its entirety for free. Check it out here: http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=home&logout=1mrpeanut188 wrote:HOW YOU GET FOR FREE?!?!?!?!

Depends on what you mean by multiplayer. Maya is a 3D developing software, for models and such, It is not a game builder or anything of that sort if that is what you are asking. It is VERY easy to use. Once you get the software you can follow simple tutorials on the main startup page when the program loads up, and they guide you through all the basics. Check out the link I posted above to try it out if you would like to see for yourselfFoxMccloud64 wrote:Does Maya support Multiplayer? If it does, I may have a little big project to it

#60also if you want a very good 3d Program, use "http://metaseq.net/english/"FoxMccloud64 wrote:Oh, I though it was a game builder thing, it seems that I may start with Blender
I use it, and its fantastic. only costs $20 for it aswel. ((but you can get a key for the full version just by googling))
the program has a auto Texture mapping button, primitives, and... well its just very easy to use. cuts modeling time by like 80%
