I think it would be cool if he was freely wandering the facility and docile until the player looks at him, the player can prevent this by listening out for him or perhaps using a tracking device so you know where he is. So like the reverse of 173.
Just like Reg said, it would work well with the blink mechanics and you could hold space down to shut your eyes, but if it's in the same room as 173...

SCRAMBLER goggles, they allow you to look at him, but you have to keep your eyes closed until hr enters the goggles line of sight, and hear a beep, or a split second of his face would reach you. It would also darken your vision and obscure it with a HUD. Must have batteries replaced now and then or refined in 914.

They're canon, they're in one of SCP-096's incident logs.

Yeah, their on the scp article, they dont work though, 096 still kill's you if you wear them.

They work, but if your eyes are open while they lock on to 096's face a split second will reach your eyes.

I was thinking maybe scp-073 could be implemented somehow. i was thinking in more of an advice help kind of way but still trying to escape for himself (because who cares about the d-class?). I was thinking maybe cutscene, like opposite catwalk side in 682s containment, talks to you or adds some storyline or just offers advice, could even lead into chase sequence with 682 where he could be interupted by roars and then takes off. the reference to able's document made me think of it.

I was also thinking about SCP-059. could be infesting a vital hallway or even an entire section of the site, where the player would need an appropriate hazmat suit (maybe refineable in 914) in order to get past or traverse through and aquire an item or something. To avoid it being used as an irritating game delay maybe it could be a seperate ending access area(blocking gate A or access to SCP-120 as a means of alternate escape)

SCP-1021- Possible ending to the game?

SCP-017 - Quickly moves about when lights are turned off, possibility of lamps from cell being able to be acquired and ward off this SCP. Appearance of a shadow that shifts through your vision, then engulfs the subject.

SCP-294 - Cool effects similar to 914 depending on what is typed in, perhaps something vital can be produced, or atleast ability enhancing.

SCP-212 - Can be ability enhancing, dehancing, or can cause death.

Just throwing some ideas out there
