In the event of smashing a button, it would delay the MTFs, but when they finally get it open, you can't close it again. The buttons look quite sturdy, so I would guess you would need a tool to smash them, like a claw hammer from the generator room in the maintenance tunnels.

Well, smashing a metal button so hard that you break the control system and your hand seems a bit laughable IMO.

I think there should be areas you can click on and access when crouching that will make you invisible to the MTF, like under a desk, or under a low-placed wall or window. There's some rooms with so little hiding spots because the player doesn't crouch very far down.

I like this idea a lot. Perhaps there could be random supply crates or boxes for moving items in after the chaos insurgency attack and you could hide behind them.
