Please, no guns. No matter what you do to make them useless, guns will break the atmosphere for most players, unless ammo is made scarce enough (by "enough" I mean "a lot"). Even then, it might still break the atmosphere.

As far as we are concerned guns are not a planned addition to the game, there are far more important things to add to the game than firearms. However I do think the issue of guns must be addressed ingame since it is a common issue brought up. Which is again why I advocate the DNA encoded guns.

Metal Gear Solid 4 ID locked guns are an OK solution considering the Foundation's resources and the fact that the game seems to take place in the future.

Present to near future is what I think. However I would imagine that the foundation has access to very advance technology, no thanks to the many unique SCP's they have to study and learn from.

Yes, but not many of the SCPs are EX yet. And 1 of the like, 10 that are is just abandoned because it is released.

Ok, How about you make the gun an easter egg? I mean, when you put for example.... SCP-372's document inside SCP-914 on FINE it will pop out a Makarov and it has 10 bullets.
I lost weight just by running up and down the stairs...

It would be a completely random and strange reward for just messing around. This is a horror game, so... nay, I do not approve.

Okay two groups seem to be arising. One for guns and one not for guns. I'm only for guns if there no reason lore/story wise we can't use them. If there is a reason I can't pick up the P90 that's laying on the floor, then i fine with it. Also it's clear that without mods guns are never going to be in this game this game. So with that said let's just let it go, there's no changing either sides minds so let's just let this game be what it's meant to be an enjoy it the way it is.
