Bad news & model asset release

#1
Greetings everyone,

Well as the title says, things have started to really go rotten for my Gateway FX p-7805u laptop, which I've owned and used almost daily for about 5 years now. Recently last fall things started to go weird, with the battery failing to work, the power + wireless button shutting off, random screen blackouts, etc. It was more of a nuisance rather than anything that could stop any of my work. But things have really sunk to shit these past few days; programs have slowed considerably and it's been taking nearly 4x longer than normal for things to respond, the desktop explorer sometimes freezes up for long periods and actually just this hour I'm posting this morning It randomly BSOD'd on me with Kernel + Memory errors.

So in fear that I may lose all of my files + .blends, I've decided to scrape up all my finished + unfinished work for SCP:CB and release it for you all to work on + improve yourselves. I've been considering this for the past couple weeks and now it's just inevitable or else it's all gone. They'll be a lot of SCP models and textures that I couldn't finish, some spoiler models, and SCP's that just didn't make the cut. As well 106, the Guard model, [REDACTED], will all be there for people to do more animations with if they want. (So yes, those of you who don't like my walk cycles can feel free to improve them.) I will withhold a couple models though, because I plan to use them on my personal portfolio.

*cough* so yeah, shit sucks , Any suggestions on how I should go about uploading this sucker? It's over 100 MB and I can't use mediafire due to the shoddy internet I got here right now. Perhaps I could just dump it all in an open Dropbox directory and people can pick out whatever they want.

Edit:
Yes, this does mean I can't work on SCP-860-1/2 anymore, I'll be releasing the models and textures though.

Pack it all into a .zip and stick it in your dropbox. Mediafire and Mega could work, but I recommend sticking that shit on a USB drive, or an external hard drive before your internal hard drive turns into a singularity.

Aw, that's really unfortunate to hear. It could be much worse though, to have lost all of the files suddenly, Dropbox should be a simple way to having them uploaded. Nonetheless, I'm sorry to hear you won't be helping out with your modeling and animating, you really are quite good at it, and I hope CB has helped you gain a bit more experience, I definitely know you've improved a lot through out the course of initially helping with the MTF animation, all the way to your 860 monster, which looks absolutely wonderful and I hope whoever decides to help with it can do as great a job as to finish it. But seeing as how you're posting just about all your unreleased content, I hope the community can help bring your work to a finish, and I'm excited to see what you had in store for the future of CB.

Also, I hope this isn't what it seems, but, will you be still making visits here anymore? I'd hate not to only not see you modeling or helping, but not hanging around the forum in general. Do respond, if you'll be able to soon, because I'm most hopeful you will. :u
