SCP-087B works great for me but for some reason SCP:CB works until I start the actual game and have to pick up the paper. The graphics freeze for me, yet the actual game logic continues so I can walk around/pick up the paper. I can hear the music too, which is really good. On my first attempt at the game I managed the read the paper in time to spawn the guard and from the conversation I heard I can assume I was gassed and died :P

I've had success expanding upon/fixing bugs for an open-source OpenGL C++ game that I won't mention specifically so I don't sound like I'm advertising in my first post. Point is I look forward to this port as I am pretty C++ savvy :P
I guess that makes two of us who want to work on the port after answer42 finishes the core engine.

From what I can tell, he(she?) has chosen not to allow forum members to send private messages to him(her?)
Edit: I see, it was an anti-spam measure because I was a new member. Does this forum not have strikeout tags?

I also noticed a post that may have implied the would rather go at it alone. Not that I'm against offering any help I can.

Append: Thanks for the welcome. This community seems nice, though it's a shame I can't actually play the game it's built on first-hand.

Are you on mac? Just use a virtual operating system. It's how our mac-using infidel Commanderpro100 and organizer of the brony mod plays. :)

I originally joined this forum because I wanted to help with the port since my first language was C++(I realize now how bad of an idea that was). It is reasonable though for answer42 to deny help at this stage given that writing an engine in C++/SFML/OGL is hard enough on its own without having to worry about subversion branches written by people who may or may not be as competent as they say they are. Not to say that I'm a good programmer or anything; despite how quickly some people here are to say that I'll help others code their projects, the only thing I can say I'm good at is debugging and writing wrappers...

Ah, no. A great suggestion, though my problem lies in

You see, I use Windows 7, 64bit. After some research I have come to the conclusion that I am the minority though, as others have gotten it to work under my system. It may be my Nvidia graphics card. I really don't know.

Have you tried the guide in bug reports? One thing I never experimented with is running it i n compatibility mode with an older service package, since blitz is a dinosaur. I think you could try that and please do tell us what happens.

I'm unfamiliar with that guide so I might need a link, though I have tried running in compatibility mode before, getting nowhere past a "memory access violation" (a Blit3D error I believe)

What card do I use? Let see... NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI

With NVidia 99% of the time, it's because their drivers suck. Try upgrading or downgrading your drivers, it usually works for me.
You might want to take this to the bug reports section, so that the mods don't yell at us for going off topic.
