Is anyone else excited for the tomb raider release on Friday? I know it's a reboot, and most reboots I've played are terrible, but I'm really interested in the new tomb raider game as it's survival based, sort of like uncharted but reskinned and renamed as tomb raider. I'm also interested as it is an origin story, where did Lara croft start? how did she start? etc. I know it won't be like the old tomb raider games like legend where you had to solve puzzles which could take hours if you're not observant or just don't think, also I hope it has unique boss battles like anniversary or legend. The game also has QTE (Quick time events) which I'm not too fond of as it defeats the purpose of actually thinking what to do on how to survive a certain situation like spinning blades or disappearing floor etc. Apparently, the game oozes with replayability as you learn new skills and get more equipment, you can revisit previous areas to find hidden unlocks or previously inaccessible/hidden tombs which could lead to some truth about the island you are stranded on. plus I'd like to see the reaction of Lara crofts face when she kills for the first time and how she changes into the helpless average adventure into the battle hardened, courageous and very intelligent woman we see in previous game. I like how it features RPG elements like finding salvage (scrap parts) around the island to buy skills with to improve or change your playing style and to also upgrade your equipment to make battle a little easier. the enemy AI has been programmed to very smart and learn form mistakes and will attack you in strategy, not in military grade strategy, but as strategic as the natives limited logic will allow. The multiplayer is apparently bland and not worth the effort as there isn't enough gameplay elements to make it unique so I don't expect people to still play the multiplayer in a few months. As the previous tomb raiders usually have, there is always a moment in the game that makes you scared of slightly nervous when you encounter a new creature or something similar.

Well according to the game, you won't encounter QTEs very often and they are very quick. the previous tomb raiders had QTEs but they were actually enjoyable to do, not the QTEs of Resident Evil 6 which was just...a chore, not ber exciting and very disturbing deaths...but the deaths caused by QTEs in TR legend could get you horny because of the way lara dies or the position she is in...

The game looks cool, btw.

You mena legend? Anniversary will ALWAYS be my favorite, it's challenging, it's lengthy, good graphics, beautiful environments, unique boss battles, good music and enjoyable interactive cutscenes...lara croft looked sexiest on the ps2

I haven't actually played the game, but for what I can see, it looks like a great game. What I actually like, is that it is a survival action game, rather than a shooter platform. WHich I find really cool since survival games are my favorite type. The shooting mechanics also look really nice.

Sorry to disappoint bro.. It is a shooting Platform. Check out the review... That is why I personally lost interest in it.
