Right, I mentioned this on Skype, but I want to make a post about it here for people who don't check the Skype convo or people who are no longer a part of it (miser Destructoid, miser MrPeanut), I am considering quitting this project.

The reason I may quit is due to creative differences, mainly the story, when the story was brought up I was quite skeptical, I didn't think this mod really needed a story, but it happened anyway and I thought that it could work quite well if done correctly. I didn't pay must attention to the story until I brought up my idea of having Twilight appear as a pony instead of doing a lousy re-skin (I was rather disappointed that you made Destructoid remove bed mane Twilight), Commander just shot down the idea instantly because it "doesn't make sense". I decided to read the document for Twilight, her story was rather disappointing, filled with flaws, I tried to offer an alternate story, but Commander kept shooting down ideas for hardly any reason (<The following is a simulation of a conversation with Commander about an idea> "It doesn't make sense that Twilight would just sit in her room" "She's there researching so she can save her friends" "But I don't understand why she would just sit in her room, it doesn't make sense").
The story got on my nerves again when I read about the Crystal heart, which the LTF foundation apparently removed for research... they removed the artifact that protects the kingdom which if taken out darkness would spread across Equestria... for research... they have nothing to research about the heart as it was like, you know, enchanted by ponies. I tried to bring up an alternate idea for this as well, with similar results to Twilight.

To prevent the Twilight incident happening again I decided to read all the documents that came with 0.3 of the mod to get abetter understanding of the story, everything I read about the story was rather painful, Magic Zecora, Scootaloo is apparently a zombie, Dr Bright is instantly trusted and made into level 4 personnel by the foundation while completely ignoring the fact that Bright isn't legally a person which you think would matter when he shows up in a top secret facility...

Basically I'm not motivated with this mod anymore because of a poorly executed story, you have mentioned that the story isn't a big change as nobody reads the documents anyway, yet you wrote in the orientation document to read all the documents, let the story stop creativity, and you're even planning to make an opening movie for the story, which would be a good idea, if the story was...good.

On a final note, Commander, if I recall we just let you make a topic so that we can post updates and discuss the mod, did you really have to make yourself a Project manager? I don't remember discussing this, was there an election I missed? You were one of the later people to join this project, I don't recall you even having an account when the original thread was made. I didn't mind at first, but as time went on you seemed like a less and less suitable person to "lead" this project, and you have abused your duty of being the mod uploader by hiding little secret messages into the mod ("CLgaming sucks").

If I remember correctly, Garbo was the one to make the first thread.

I agree with all of this. I just realized all collaborations end up being a dictatorship or failing. Like this one might.

...What Dictatorship are you refering to?

Commander isn't a dictator, he just accepts or denies our work in THE FINAL CUT, and gives us criticism on it.
The only thing that can 'Fail' here is either the members not providing resources, or Commander's judgement is failing.
I think it is a mixture of both, I do agree the story needs to be rewritten, either you rewrite it, or don't provide a story.

The best solution is to move to SVN, except it's kinda complicated for non-techie people, practically a Drop-Box, or cloud storage system, is what I'm saying.
