Some more ideas;
SCP-299 - Another use for the hazmat suit. if you choose not to wear it in there, a while later your character will complain "I need to find some sun." until finally you will have a cut-scene where a branch grows out of your chest and kills you. The entrance is similar to 008 where you have double doors and opening one automatically closes the other.
SCP-303 - You enter a long hallway with a set of doors at the end that will have two large windows. Both of these look fogged up/cloudy then you will catch a glimpse of 303 (Pretty good for a jumpscare) After entering that's where he can start to mess with you by wheezing behind doors and etc.
SCP-151 - after you view the image it will do the zoom in thing like the coffin scp does, but it won't actually kill you. Instead, your character will say he's having trouble breathing which will be followed by coughing later until finally you hear a choking/gurgle sound and you fall over dead.
SCP-268 - could be worn to evade mtf and sneak around them.
SCP-432 - Pretty much self explanatory if you read it's description. The reason you could go in there is because you can have the Omni card spawn in there beside of an corpse and that's the only way to obtain it besides the machine scp.
Re: SCP Suggestions General
#662What about instead of voice recordings, you could find laptops or computers which you could access and read logs? That would be a more original direction to it, but still the same idea.Virtus Tenebrae wrote:You know what's a really cool idea, if not difficult to make. How about something similar to the Voxophones from Bioshock Infinite, like recorded accounts on varyous SCPs on tape decks. Maybe, even some MADE by SCPs (attempting to get TheVolgan to do more voices).

#663I have an idea, what if you add SCP-136, I'm sure a lot of people will get a real good scare. Or some sort of SCP that would leave a lasting influence on the player making them tremble feeling like they're being watched. Your horror game is probably one of the best I have ever seen
Re: SCP Suggestions General
#664Yet another cool SCP that I would love to see in this game. Maybe the player can activate SCP 136-2 by simply placing the doll in their inventory. Once 136-2 is done stalking and screaming at the player, it will vanish and the doll will remove itself from the player's inventory and spawn in another room.Daiguey wrote:I have an idea, what if you add SCP-136, I'm sure a lot of people will get a real good scare.
Re: SCP Suggestions General
#665Good point. It wouldn't really make sense to play as another character unless everyone in said difficulty has to experience the Breach in a different way. We then would have to make 3 different back stories (Which would encourage playing the game even more). Safe Mode would maybe be one of the scientists with a Key Card 2 and a document to start out with. MTF's won't shoot you and start out in a better area. Euclid would be normal. Keter would start out in another part of the Foundation (Say, near Radical Larry's area) as another Class-D, MTF's are more common, SCP's are smarter, and items are harder to find.Killing_You wrote:That might work for, say, a different type of game, but not for difficulty levels in Containment Breach.delicouscrabmeat wrote:I actually think "safe" mode should actually be very different then how the game really is on other difficulties, I think it should take place before the actual breach, you would play as either a Doctor of Guard, getting to patrol around the facility (fully lit) just to check out the layout of the facility (for your chosen seed) and to basically just see how things were running normally, like with many other Doctors, scientists, guards, and escorted D-class roaming around.Killing_You wrote: Huh. I actually do have an idea for difficulty levels, but more serious than those
"Safe" (Easy)
-Map Generator puts you in danger less often
-173 is slightly slower
-Gas Mask allows more visibility
-MTFs are not very accurate
-Items are more common
-096 has a longer rage state
.
Each player then would have a different story about them (If we can find out what their back story is). SCP-735 would be a nice idea to get their back stories and maybe SCP-990 can be involved in a different way for every character.

Re: SCP Suggestions General
#667Does anyone still think 735 is a good idea ?
How about an area where you can fall asleep and talk to 990 to go ask what is happening. Maybe like this:
Player: Huh....What is this....where am I?
990: Oh, I see it's you again.
Player: You again! Alright, I guess you weren't kidding when you said something bad is going to happen.
990: I did try to warn you. I'm happy your alive and well.
Player: WELL!? This is, what, the 20th god damn time I've nearly killed myself!! How the hell am I well!
990: Don't worry, I will help you, but I'm only going to say this once.
Player: Well, I guess I got no other choice.
990 then tells you a shortcut through the facility and how to find it.
990: Alright, now I must go.
Player: Alright.
You wake up and now know how to escape (Which ends up being a secret ending).

Re: SCP Suggestions General
#668Well, we could add a "practice" mode for beginners. That would help.delicouscrabmeat wrote:I guess what i was really trying to suggest was a "Sunday drive" sort of mode, a practice mode that gives you no actual threat or goal in mind. But after giving this some more thought, I now feel this "easy" mode should work as if this breach didn't happen, but your still the same D-class, and you STILL have to go through and survive your testing with 173. After surviving you just get escorted to another cell for more testing, leading you to encounter each of the SCP's (in a random order) until one of them kills you during testing. There would be no good ending, as you would just get executed afterward anyway.Sketter1337 wrote: Good point. This would act as a real "practice" as the intercom guy would be instructing you on several things of the SCP's, teaching you how to survive them better in the harder modes.

735 should be in the game, I mean not only will it be a good laugh but It is also a great way to tell the character's backstory and why he was sent to the facility (rather he was a criminal or a innocent person that was kinapped) and what exactly caused the containment breach

Re: SCP Suggestions General
#670That would imply the entire game is a dream, though due to 990 only appearing in dreams. So....billynilly wrote:Also another idea for 990 is that just like the G man from the half life games, he could be watching you in certain rooms of the game and usually he is in out of reach areas or areas you can't get to yet.
