I agree it shouldn't be long as it's added anytime in the game. Intro is skippable, so there's no need to have a long 990 dream sequence. Do not get worry, I still like the original intro, as it needs some more personnel in the game.106phobia wrote:I like the intro the way it is now, don't get me wrong. But I would still love to see a well-made 990 dream sequence intro... As long as it isn't too long.
Re: A Longtext of Ideas [SCP-990 ADDITIONS]
#52I'd like to have an end 990 dream sequence. In a park like he said.
990: It looks like you've made it out. I've been waiting.
pause
990: You'll have a part to play in things soon to come, what with so many of the Foundation's precious objects loose and no way to keep all of them in... the Chaos Insurgency could use you.
D-9341: What's going to happen to me now?
990: I can't tell you that, but you should enjoy your sleep while you still can.

#53Well.... I would like to see 990 in the end sequence, but maybe using other conditions to get 990 ending.Destructoid wrote:I'd like to have an end 990 dream sequence. In a park like he said.

#54Perhaps a way to survive gate B if certain parameters are met or an extension to Gate A, which I find lacking.SCP 513 wrote:Well.... #55Gate B: No warheads enabled, and when D-9341 gets trapped and sleeps, get's 990 end sequence.Destructoid wrote:Perhaps a way to survive gate B if certain parameters are met or an extension to Gate A, which I find lacking.SCP 513 wrote:Well.... Gate A: SCP-106 isn't contained, all guards and MTFs (esp.: choppers) kill D-9341, get's a last words 990 end sequence.
Well?
Re: A Longtext of Ideas [SCP-990 ADDITIONS]
#56I think that's a good idea, but it would work best with 990 in the intro also. You could talk briefly with 990 in the beginning, and if you beat the game he could introduce himself to you and it would be a fitting end to the mystery (assuming most players won't have any idea who the hell 990 is in the beginning).Destructoid wrote:I'd like to have an end 990 dream sequence. Re: A Longtext of Ideas [SCP-990 ADDITIONS]
#57It has been suggested a few times that the player should be able to find 990's document somewhere in the facility. So once they find it, they will be all "Oooooh! That's who he is!"scpharrisee wrote:I think that's a good idea, but it would work best with 990 in the intro also. I think that idea is a lot more subtle and less cheesy.

Re: A Longtext of Ideas [SCP-990 ADDITIONS]
#60My main question is, how will 990 be portrayed or will he be portrayed at all? It could be more cryptic if he wasn't portrayed, as the player would shockingly discover that the "old man" from the 990 document was the same voice in their dream. If anything, his portrayal should be akin to a static, picturesque image and look very dreamy. The game's engine won't do justice to a detailed model of 990, and if anything a blurry image would be more fantasy-like wouldn't it?
