Slade cracked on open and extended it to the scientist.

*Dr.Baton slowly regained consciousness.*

Ugh...not again. Passing out is such a cowardly thing to do.

*He looked around. He was right beside a crashed heli. He also saw some people. One went through a door to a building. Two just standing around. He tried to get up, but he couldn't. He felt something weird in his body.*

Excuse me sirs, mind helping me up?

"No thanks." Blake said in reply to the soldier's offer of beer. He decided to take a seat though, to wait for anybody that would join. "My name is Blake by the way"

Gale sat in the room with Slade, accepting the beer. He only held it for a long time before actually pulling of the mask. He then took a drag and grimaced at the taste. Note to self, Beer is not your favourite.

He wondered about the doctor, and simply forgot about him from under the intoxication. He only sat there, then a question formed.

"Slade, what happened to Doctor Lavrov and Doctor Baton?"

"Cpt. Slade Grevik of MTF Delta-7. Nice to meet you lad."

He extends his hand to the doctor.

"How'd you like the breach?"

He sipped his drink.

Then he turned to Gale and gave him a beer.

"Yeah sorry this brand sucks, but hey it gets the job done. Uh the doctors? They're back at the facility aren't they? The MTF shoulda picked em up."

He found himself getting used to the drink, and Slade was right. It was certainly getting the job done. He felt a little better. Now, all there was to do is sleep, and it would be a long, long ti-

The thought pierced through his thoughts like a knife, and out came the understanding.

Dr. Gears. He wanted to shoot the bastard, out him out of his misery for what he'd done, for endangering the lives of so many people and-

"I think I'll get some rest. You should too, Slade."

He left to the barracks, hoping the comfortable cot would do him good.

*The two guards saw him laying there. They went over and picked him up.*

"Never saw you on the helicopter. Where did you come from?", one of the guards asked.

Long story actually. But for right now can you take me inside this uhh....

*He looked at the building. It was the facility. Except it looked destroyed due to the massive breach.*

Oh my, it looks comeplety destroyed. Can't believe it still standing.

"Hey, can you walk or move at all?", asked a guard.

I think so. Let go of me for a sec.

*He was able to move, but he felt incredibly sore as he moved.*

What are you two doing anyway?

"We're taking a break here. As you can see our heli crashed, so we're just... you know... waiting."

I see, well, I'm gonna head inside. I think I saw one of your guys go inside.

"Yeah, he's doing some reconnaissance inside."

I guess I'll do the same.

"You sure you wanna go in alone?"

I'll be fine. Beside, if you two were like the other guards, you probably would've had me pinned to ground or something.

"I guess. Good luck in there."

You act like there's something evil in there.

"Meh."

*Dr.Baton goes inside.*

On his way there, he noticed a heavily fatigued doctor. He immediately walked up to him.

"Doctor Baton? I thought you were here already... where's Doctor Lavrov?"

(Dr. Lavrov was far less tense now but when the copter landed, he saw it was the same site he had just left. It was a bit confused.)
Dr. Lavrov: "What happened? I thought we were evacuating?"
Pilot: "Command says everything's still in moderate* shape and no skips are out. Halls were quickly quarantined for oh-oh-eight. You can hop off, doctor. Have a good day."
(With a breath of relief, Lavrov exited the copter with the other researchers. He walked down the hallways, passing the blank room he been in with Dr. Baton and the place where 027 got caramel'd, with clean up staff taking care of the situation. Stopping at a room, he looked in to see another doctor and Captain Grevik. He turned and joined the two, grabbing a cool Sprite from the mini-fridge. He sat down in front of the captain, relieved.)
Dr. Lavrov: "I never did explain that caramel, did I, captain? If you're still interested I'd be happy to tell. By the way, did the guys interrogate David yet?"

Gale saw Dr. Lavrov pass by, slightly less fatigued. walking into the room with Slade, and decided to abandon what sleep he wanted. He joined Slade again and asked for something stronger than beer.
