Origin is awful. Unlike steam, origin never have sales, which is why they fail. Steam understands that with its DRM policies, they have to make compromises to ensure that people will buy games. The main reason why steam is as successful as it is, is because of its sales. Not just the big summer and winter sales, but the midweek madness, weekend deals and the specials which are every day. Most people probably know this, so why don't EA?

EA used to make good games but not anymore, BF 3 is the onlyEA game I've played in years that is actually good, only downside is you have like 30+ DLC which some of them feel game breaking because some of the DLC is shortcuts to help you get kills, the other are map packs, with the amount of DLC you get the impression that EA has basically you a HALF game at FULL price

They tried to prevent piracy completly with the sim city reboot..by forcing you to play on the internet...look at the very poor success that had EA! MAKE SIM CITY 4 IN HD!

Piracy is still illegal though. Since the content is being made AFTER the game is released, they all all the right to put a price on it, because they have to spend money, time and more on making it. Sure, it gets annoying when they release a lot of DLC, but you don't have to buy it. So if you don't want more content, just don't buy it.

You are not getting half a game. You are getting a full game, and then the company releases more content. As long as the content made for the DLC is worked on AFTER the game is released, its ok. However, if the extra content is made DURING the development , then yeah, THAT SUCKS. But still, piracy is illegal!

I was talking about any game company that releases DLC.

I agree with INFINITE. I bought BF3 (even though i didnt had the PC for it i still bought it) just when it came out. I was pretty happy, every1 was killing with only the first weapons made....


But then the DLC's came.

8 months later the initial release everything was diferent: The normal players who only bought the game were playing in the normal maps while the others who bought DLC's were passing by with brand new weapons and crossbows. New gameplay mode were created for more money. Hey, we created a brand new gameplay mode where theres only jets. Wanna play it? BUY THE DLC. Hey, look, a scoped crossbow. Wanna have it? BUY THE DLC. Hey! New veicles where u can even drop a tank from a plane. Want to try? BUY!

I always envied some1 who was premium just cuz of the fact that he would have more fun avaiable for him. Thats why EA sucks now :S
