Just Finished Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs

That game was very good, but it wasn't scary at all.
I'm serious. The only time I was scared was when I was first introduced to the pigman in the dark. And at the end of the piston room, I was terrified. But from then on, all that ever happened was walking, puzzles, a small visit from the water monster, and a mindfuck ending that reminded me of Bioshock Infinite's. I believe that they could have done a lot more with the horror aspect and insanity, but it turned out to be a small but well made game that didn't really live up to The Dark Descent's horror factor.

Has anyone else finished the game? If so, what are your thoughts?

Haven't played the game all the way through. But I can say this: the writing and music are beautiful. Where The Dark Descent passed in those factors, A Machine for Pigs exceeds greatly.

I feel that my verdict will be the same when finished. The Dark Descent will have the gameplay and horror of a true horror game, but A Machine for Pigs will have the storytelling of a masterpiece.
It slep time bunner.

I think pretty much everyone knew it deep in their hearts, but they all wanted to deny it. It still was kind of heartbreaking when it happened nonetheless.
