Well 4chan also temporarily banned the word pony because of the over use of it in all their threads, when all they had to do was make a new thread for Bronies. My point is, 4chan isn't always right.

I agree with you Trialtrex, the organism that made the bloop should be a lot bigger than that depiction.

While I love the idea of an undiscovered giant animal lurking in the depths. I do not see how we could simply miss a creature that large. The only way a animal like that could go undetected like that would be if it lived its entire life in the deepest depths of the ocean. So that rules out any mammalian type animals. Also its carcass would not be able to float otherwise we would find bodies. But the biggest issue I have with this theory is what does it eat? There isn't very much to eat in the depths. While I am not sure about this I think plankton usually stick to shallower water. That pretty much leaves giant squid, sperm whales and maybe whale carcasses as viable food items. But to me I don't think a large animal would be able to get a hold of enough food to sustain itself let alone a breeding population. Well anyways thats just my opinion on the matter.

You have to remember that we have only explored maybe 95% of the world's oceans. So there could very well be many creatures that we have not yet identified. These could be it's food source. Like we have discussed earlier, the singer of the bloop will have to be many times bigger than a blue whale, a creature we know very little about. A creature this massive would have to obtain a lot of sustenance, like you said. This much unexplored ocean leaves a lot of room for something this large and a hell of a lot more. So I'm not so much worried about what a creature like this would eat, I'm more worried about exactly what organism made this noise.

We already ruled out megalodon, the Labyrinth is still plausible, any other ideas?

http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/acoustics/index.html if you're skeptical on the validity of the article.

"Wired.co.uk spoke to NOAA and Oregon State University seismologist Robert Dziak by email to check it out. He confirmed that the Bloop really was just an icequake" ~Steadman

"We began an acoustic survey of the Bransfield Strait and Drake Passage in 2005 which lasted until 2010. It was in analysis of this recent acoustic data that it became clear that the sounds of ice breaking up and cracking is a dominant source of natural sound in the southern ocean. Each year there are tens of thousands of what we call 'icequakes' created by the cracking and melting of sea ice and ice calving off glaciers into the ocean, and these signals are very similar in character to the Bloop" ~Dziak

"NOAA hydrophones deployed in the Scotia Sea detected numerous icequakes with spectrograms very similar to “Bloop”. The icequakes were used to acoustically track iceberg A53a as it disintegrated near South Georgia Island in early 2008."

Interesting. When it said the hypothesis of the cause of the bloop wasn't a serious one, I got the feeling that the government is trying to cover something up. But I could be mistaken. And the whole icequake idea seems a little far fetched. The area this took place in seems a little far north for an ice berg. It's not impossible, but highly unlikely. Another reason why this seems like a cover up to me.

I don't mean to correct you, but it's 95% that we haven't explored. Only 5% is explored as of right now. The surface and anything less than a couple miles below the surface.

Just post it under /b/ and let 4chan handle it.
It's the responsible thing to do.
Atleast, that's what 4chan told me.
So you just believe everything people say from a site where anybody can post anonymously with no evidence supporting their claim without question? Why?

EDIT: Sorry, double post
